So being on wattpad for a while, I have noticed a trend with people's first fanfics, or specifically the very first chapter.

basically, they're all the same.

I am guilty of this in my first fanfic that was HORRID, and I would just like to share what I believe is the set up to the most cliche first chapter you could have in a fanfiction.

*terrible writing intended*

The startling sound of my alarm going off wakes me from my soft slumber and my eyes flutter open. I pad over to my shower and hop in (Insert long unneeded description of her washing her hair with the warm water cascading down her back.)

After getting out i curl my long beautiful brown hair and swipe eyeliner over my crystal blue eyes.

Lastly, I grab my oversized sweater and patterned leggings before putting on my vans (outfit linked to the side!) 

I guess I should tell you a little about myself! Well, I'm Mia. I'm 17. I'm not like normal girls, I'm not perfect and don't have a thigh gap, and instead of going out I like to stay in and watch netflix!!! I also just moved from the states to a little town in England called Cheshire.

Since I had a dark past, my mom and I moved all the way around the world to fucking England to get a fresh start even though I could have just moved to a different state!

My dad isn't around because he is either abusive, left when I was younger, or died in a tragic accident

That's a bit about me, now back to the story!!!

I quickly say goodbye to my mom and grab an apple before walking to school bc for some reason I have no other means of transportation????? 

(At school)

*with over-hyper smart girl Monica who was assigned to show her around school*

While Monica is showing me around school we pass a boy with a mop of curls laying on top of his head and green jade orbs

"Oh no!!!!!!" Monica yodeled "that's harry!!1!!1!1 HES a bad boy!!!! No date!!!! bad news!!!!!!"

*harry walks over to Mia."

"Lol date me ur hot."

"No!!!"

"Wow you're so feisty, I like that." he winks and smirks

what a jerk!!! i could never like him!!!!!!!!

Quick overview of the rest of the story

*Harry acts an like ass and is getting sick of his totally bitchy, but hot, gf*

*Mia and Harry somehow manage to run into each other at every place they ever go to ever*

*Mia goes to party* *Gets assaulted by boy* *Harry swoops in and saves the day!!!* *Harry questions his new feelings for Mia, but pushes them aside*

*So many unrealistic High school parties????????*

*Gets in intense fight* *silence* *angry make-out session*

*Harry feels the feels. Is it love?????!!11!!1!1*

*it is love!!!!!*

*everything is resolved and couple is happy* 130 chapters left

*Abusive father returns!!!!*

*Love triangle*

*Harry opens up and dark pasts are revealed!!!*

*orgasms first time having sex*

*Teen pregnancy????* 

*30 yr old girl being casted as 17 yr old girl???????*

*Republicans?????*

And they all lives happily ever after or one of them dies!!!! :)))))
