Graduation Present

So I have finally done it!

I have graduated high school!

I just feel like a ton of bricks have been lifted from my shoulders!... until a whole new set has been dropped on me like a bomb!

So since I've graduated, my dad has been asking me what I would like as a graduation present.

Now being me, what I normally ask for presents are iTunes gift cards, Playstaion Network cards, video games, and the occasional graphic T.

But this time... I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE HECK I WANT!

I apologize if I'm sounding ever so slightly selfish, but it's just really bothering me lately!

Back when I completed grade 10, I got my very first 90% mark on a school report card, EVER! So to treat me as a celebration, my dad took me, my cousin and his dad on a weekend trip to Disney World.

HECK YAS!

And every year I practically BEG my dad to take me back.

So this year, I saw my opportunity to ask him. When I did, he said he would like to do that, but he stated that, "It wouldn't work out."

... What?

Here are the reasons why;

1. My step-mother would have to come with.

Now since they married, my step-mother OBVIOUSLY moved in, and I mean come on! We can't just let her stay at her own place!

But the thing is, she's not that big on Disney like me and the rest of my family. Like she thinks it's okay, after all her favourite Disney movie is Ratatouille. But again, she's not too keen on it like the rest of us, so technically it wouldn't be fair for her or something on those lines :/

THEN WHY CAN'T WE JUST GET ONE OF MY COUSINS TO COME WITH LIKE LAST TIME?!

2. My "bathroom" problematic dog.

For the past while, my dog has had some bathroom issues. And what I mean by that, she's developed a habit of doing her business inside the house more than actually going to the bathroom outside.

And it's not so much because she's just misbehaving, but she's also becoming quite old now. She's 8 in human years, but in dog years she's lived for quite a long time now.

If we were to drop her off at a relatives house, it wouldn't be fair to them if my dog kept peeing on their floor all weekend long.

... Why not a dog clinic? We've done it once before and she turned out okay.

3. It costs quite a bit of money to go.

Now it's no secret that Disney World is quite expensive. If you stick with the value hotels there shouldn't be too much trouble, but if you were staying at, let's say, the Animal Kingdom Lodge, IT'S FRICKEN EXPENSIVE!

Back with my family we used to have this little thing we're we went to the Disney parks whether it be Disneyland or Disney World one summer or whatever holiday, every 2 years. We stopped that after our last trip in 2009 when my dad and step-mother were engaged at the time.

So when my dad took me in 2013 I was over-joyed!

But at the same time, it's also a good idea to save up money for other stuff.

So, those were the 3 main reasons why my dad choose against it. They were fun-killer reasons, but understandable.

My second idea for a graduation present was going to see iiSuperwomanii's show in my home town. So I went to the internet to find out ticket prices and when the show was... and I discovered that it was on the day off I was doing this research... and the show was in an hour -_-

Smooth Maddie... smooth.

So finally I was down the LAST idea I could ever think off.

I still wanted something to do with an amusement park, because I wanted to do something like that before I leave to see family in July... where they don't have amusement parks. They do.... it's just 5 hours away -_-

Anyways, so I finally narrowed it down to asking my dad if he could take me to Canada's Wonderland.

For those of you who don't know, Wonderland is like the Canadian version of Six Flags. But its super fun! :D

So 2 days ago I asked my dad if he could take me.

His response?

"I can't go on the rides sweetheart. And I can't walk around all day, I'm sorry."

-_- You've got to be kidding me!

There goes that dream I've had since I was 8!

But THEN, he said;

"But you're more than welcome to take your boyfriend with you."

... *Angels sing off in the distance as rays of sun light cast upon me and doves fly by*

THANK THE LORD!

But there's one problem...

My dad says I can do that, but...

"It's not your graduation present."

*eyes twitch*

OH COME ON!

Well, back to the drawing board for me.

END OF RANT!
