So for those of you who don't know, and/or don't watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the episode they aired last week announced/confirmed that Shining Armour and Princess Cadence are having  a baby!

A BABY!!!!!!

*confetti flies everywhere*

I'm actually really excited to see how this sub-plot of the show plays out!

But here's the only thing that's kind of bugging me a little bit. 

I was watching the clip of when Twilight discovers she's going to be an aunt, and about 80% of the comments said that the baby was going to be a foal named "Skyla".

And in my head I'm thinking...

"WHAT THE FRAG IS SKYLA?! I'VE NEVER HEARD OF HER! IS SHE SOME KIND OF VERY POPULAR PONY OC THAT EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT?!"

So after reading a bunch of comments, I did some research and discovered that "Skyla" was a My Little Pony plushie doll. You know how toy companies make those baby toys and little girls take care of them and pretend they're an actual baby? It's one of those toys.

Anyways, according to the comment section and the fanpop page I found, "Skyla" is "supposedly" the daughter of Princess Cadence and Shining Armour. 

Notice how I used air quotes around supposedly. 

Do you want to know why?

Because, it is RUMOR! 

We don't know 1000% for sure that their baby is going to be Skyla. 

Thing is when I was doing my research, I found videos of fans so called "confirming" that Skyla was going to appear in season 4 of the show. 

... It's now more than halfway through season 5 now. 

Do you see where I am going with this?

Just because a certain pony is turned into a toy, DOESN'T MEAN THEY WILL MAKE AN APPEARANCE IN THE SHOW! 

Take the Transformers Prime toyline for example. They featured numerous Autobots, Decepticons, and Predacons that didn't even make a simple CAMEO in the show. 

So, what did we learn class?

Just because they're in the toy line, DOESN'T MEAN THEY ARE AUTOMATICALLY IN THE SHOW!

Okay, moving on.

Anyways, aside from that, I actually really don't want Skyla to be their said child. Why? Because her design isn't original AT ALL. 

She's basically a repaint of Sweetiebelle, and she's wearing a shaded version of Princess Celestia's crown.

That's so original! Way to go Hasbro!

If you're making a brand new character, give them ORIGINALITY! Don't just rummage through your leftovers in the trash and just stick them on the new character. 

If anything, I actually want to see the shows very first Alicorn COLT!

Yes, I am talking about a male Alicorn. 

Cause why the heck not?

The staff and voice cast of the show has acknowledged the Brony fanbase and has indeed in fact welcomed them in open arms. I mean have you seen "Slice Of Life"?! The special 100th episode?!

So maybe adding in one more male character won't be so bad?

I enjoyed Shining Armour's addition to the show. 

Could you take a note of that Hasbro? Pretty please?

So, long story short, Hasbro, once their child does come into the show, please, PLEASE, don't make it be Skyla! That's all I ask!

AND PLEASE MAKE IT ORIGINAL!
