Demisexuality is a sexuality.

It's not a characteristic for other sexualits!

I hate seeing people say and argue the fact that Demi isn't a sexuality.

It fucking is.

Here is a few definitions-.

"Demisexuality is a sexual orientation characterized by only experiencing sexual attraction after making a strong emotional connection with a specific person."

"A demisexual is a person who does not experience sexual attraction unless they form a strong emotional connection with someone. It's more commonly seen in but by no means confined to romantic relationships. Of course, being demisexual means different things to different people, depending on their experiences."

This is pretty much saying, if you only feel attraction to someone, NO MATTER THE GENDER, that you have a strong emotional bond with you are a Demisexual.

If you feel this way with the same sex you're not gay.

You're simply a Demisexual attracted to the same sex.

If you feel this way with both sex's you're not bi.

You're simply a Demisexual that likes both sex's.

It's not- "oh! You like the same sex? Well you're bi with Demi as an add on!"

No.

You're just Demi.

That's it.

End of story.

If you didn't know this. Then congrats, you learned something that will help you from not accidentally oppressing an entire sexuality by calling it just a characteristic or an add on to other sexuality's.

Sorry for the short pissed off rant, but I just got into a heated debate with someone.

Now they aren't responding after I made a pretty good fucking point which is pretty much a summary of this chap.

So either they read it and realize they're wrong but won't admit it.

Ooor they're desperately trying to find some bullshit to try and fight me with.

Either way I'm taking it as a win.
