So guess what happened to me.

WATTPAD BANNED ME FROM VOTING.

It's not even funny anymore. Okay so I spent all of my time here yesterday because...well, I'm jobless, but that doesn't mean they should do this to me! I was reading I think a Jily fanfiction last night, by prongsette (which is so awesome, all my fellow potterheads should check it out.) eating some Chocos when they told me I couldn't vote anymore and I literally choked.

How could I have exceeded a 100 votes within 24 hours? But even so how can there even be a thing as 'too many votes?'

Dang, I read some people's work and think the number of votes I can give aren't enough!

Actually, upon intense retrospection... It's not that surprising. 🙄😓 I barely ate yesterday because I was so hooked on to certain books and I ended up with a huge headache because of staring at my phone all day BUT. It was worth it.

Even so:

EVERY AUTHOR PUTS EFFORT INTO THEIR WORK AND IT DESERVES A VOTE. ESPECIALLY IF I LIKE IT.

I absolutely love encouraging people, and my go to quote is this:

So I will be generous with my votes because I want people to know their efforts are appreciated. It takes a lot of courage to come up here and put your work out there for people to read and judge and sometimes ignore, and I wouldn't like that done to me, so I try to show my presence in whatever book I read, be it via vote or comment.

If I like it, I'll let you know for sure and shower you with votes and love. Even if it's not my thing, I'll be sure to drop a star as an acknowledgement of your effort and time, and so that the story can reach more readers, some of who might love it.

That's a thing too. A story has to find the right audience to prosper. Otherwise...

Anyway, last night and this morning, I tried again. On a different book, but I still couldn't vote and ngl...I was pissed. Super pissed. It just made me so upset, I dunno why. I think I even mentioned it in someone's comment section because by then, I was going crazy. I'D GONE A WHOLE HALF OF A FANFICTION I LOVED WITHOUT VOTING. The idea of people not knowing I appreciate them scares me and this was something exactly like that.

By now I was super pissed. Each time I tried voting, I got the same message and it. Was. So. Annoying.

So finally, I decided to get help from my friend Google. (Yes I know I should've just done that from the beginning but...ugh sometimes I hate myself)

And Google told me this: There's a limit. You can only give away about 100 votes in 24 hours.

At first I was like:

But turns out they can because it's been hours and hours and I still can't vote😭😭😭 It just so happens that I have to wait for 24 hours before I get to vote again.

And I've just been sitting here ever since...

And as I waited I realised....well, rules are made for a reason. They might have their own restrictions, the website, and I guess that's okay. It's like school. You may not like the rules but they are necessary even if you don't always understand why. So I calmed down and decided....okay, I'll tone it down. I'll just not read so much within a day.

And that's that. I'm still here waiting for my ban to come to an end as I munch on some pizza, just waiting and waiting and waiting.....
