Someone told me this for being the jerk I am

It's not that we ship them because we want the other person to die for our ships to become canon. We see a particular crack  as better view of the idea of love. We find them also cute together and wouldn't mind if they become canon.

This doesn't intentionally mean with hate the other ships and want particular people like Lucy, Juvia or even Lisanna to die just so we can have the ships that we want. We can't decide for Hiro Mashima, since this isn't our Fairy Tail, it's his.

Also, Here is something NaLi/NaLu

Lisanna understands Natsu, ever since they were kids. Fairy Tail isn't a place for children because it has so much bad influences (I mean look at CANA!) and Lisanna was the only person who supports him when they were kids

So was Lucy. She was one of the only people who are gentle to him. Lucy didn't laugh when Natsu told her about Igneel. She didn't believe it but still. The guild discouraged Natsu when he was kid that Igneel doesn't exist, except for Lisanna.

Lisanna told Lucy that she should be close to Natsu because he fights better with someone by his side, which is true. It is either she trusts Lucy and their bond to do so, or she knows that she isn't strong enough to do it herself.
