Okay, Lisanna has Animal Soul and Lucy has Celestial Spirit Magic

Thinking very quickly, we would presume Lisanna would have a higher advantage as she can fight by herself, while Lucy summons spirits which fight for her

On Lisanna's side, sure she can fight for herself and change into any animal of choice, but that's it.

Her only limit is the animal she chooses to be

That isnt really as cool as it sounds and isn't as helpful as people make it

But idk, maybe in the one year gap she gets stronger?! But in what way?

Your fighting style depends on what animal she chooses, UNLESS SHE LEARNED HOW TO CHANGE INTO A DRAGON MAYBE!

On Lucy, she summons spirits with keys. Making people think she cant defend herself in any way.

True in both ways. She can use a whip, and she isnt that bad on hand in hand combat.

She accompanies her spirits in times, kinda like how a pokemon trainer treats his pokemon (but rarely this happens)

But they couldn't be as strong as they are now without her magic

We don't know much about Lisanna, but after the year gap Lucy has become really strong, being able to fight with her spirits more than she did before (because she really does FYI)

Being able to change into a star dress, which makes her really strong.

And by looking at how much she developed, she really became an independable wizard now.

She is probably behind Wendy in characters with the most development in the anime

I really don't consider Lucy weak. In ways, shes even stronger than Lisanna

Even comparing her to other characters, she might not be the strongest but she isn't bad 

If the two were to battle, I am 100% Lucy would win, but I don't know

Maybe Lisanna got super strong after a year, maybe
