Misaki's p.o.v

"A favor?" I looked up at Ranmaru's face.

"Yes." He looked a little troubled but his teeth gritted and then he finally mouthed a word.

"Wedding." 

"Huh?" I am going deaf right? Did he say weeding?

"Wedding..." He said it again. I was right. And then added. "I want you to be my partner."

"What?" I touched my chest confused. Is this a proposal?

My cheeks were burning up. Okay, calm down. This must be a mistake.

"What's your opinion on shrine weddings? I personally prefer modern.." Ranmaru spoke but i felt my knees finally giving up and I dramatically fell on the ground.

Ranmaru's p.o.v  

"Reiji help me out here." I walked back in the mansion carrying this idiot in my hands. I noticed Reiji passing by and he immediately ran over.

"What happened? Is she over working herself again?" Reiji asked worried.

"I'm awake." She complained.

"You just fainted out of nowhere." I answered annoyed.

"I was being dramatic." She answered.

Reiji was giving me a really suspicious look.

"What?" I ased,

"Can i know the details of the conversation. Before she fainted/"

"I'm awake." She complained.

I dropped her on the couch. "I only asked her if she wanted to be my partner for a wedding. And then I asked her what's her opinion on shrine weddings. Then she fainted on me."

Reiji grinned. "You're so bold Maru. I mean to ask her to marry you all of a sudden."

"Huuuh?" I slammed my hand on the table annoyed. "What are you saying? I didn't ask her to marry me."

"Hence the dramatic fainting." She complained.

"Ah." I suddenly realized my mistake.  I covered my face with my hands. "This might have came out wrong."

"You think." She sighed. "I like modern weddings too." she added.

"Congratulations." Reiji waved his hands and she just shooed him away.

" I leaned over Misaki again. " I was asking you to go to my sister's wedding with me. Looks like i can't get over that issue easily."

She starred at me for a moment and then smiled. " Mm okay. I'll go with you."

"Really?" I asked her but her face expression didn't change. 

"I'll be by your side. No questions asked." She smiled.

 "Thank you. I feel like a weight is lifted off my chest. " And it really did feel like that. When did this girl become such a rock for me to lean on, I wonder.

Two weeks later.

First it took begging and begging to make my Manager let me go alone on this trip with Ranmaru. Then explaining to Shinning so he doesn't misinterpret. And finally Ranmaru had to borrow Quartet night's private plane so we can land in Fukuoka where the wedding was.

 "Why is your sister doing a wedding in Fukuoka and making us stay in a hot spring?" I asked confused when we landed and we were driven to a hot spring."

"She said she wanted to spend the days here with "the family" and that her husband is paying for everything."

I pulled out my phone and pressed search for this inn.

 After  reading that text and viewed some pictures i pointed my phone at Ranmaru.

"You're sister is marrying someone rich."

"Good for her." He sighed and called a cab as we got out of the airport.

I eyed him kind of worried but i was excited to go to this place. It was a vacation i really needed. And since i wasn't going as the DARK PRINCESS i could relax and not worry about my image.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Misaki Kyoko." I introduced my self at Kurosaki's mom and sister while they stared at me confused. They turned towards each other whispering.

"You told them i was coming right?" I murmured to Ran.

"I said i was bringing a friend." He murmured back.

"Did you mention it was a female?" I turned towards him a fake smile on my face.

"It was going to raise more questions." He turned his head avoiding my look.

"You devil.." I caught my tongue as his mother and sister turned their attention back to us.

"Well this is...unexpected. I'm going to have to talk to.. umm..to see..if we can change rooms.."

His mother smiled awkwardly. "I thought you were a man, so we put you in the same room." She spoke to me.

Of course..Of course. This had to happen. The old sharing a room trick god was just throwing at me like i was a joke.

Not that I had anything to worry about since this guy thinks of me as another sister.

"But it's going to be full hot spring. I don't know if we can change it." His sister complained.

"No worries. We live in the same mansion and Ranmaru is not a man who would do something indecent. He is also a very good friend and no one knows us here so i don;t want to cause any trouble for you." I just shook my hand much to his surprise.

She nodded her head awkwardly and smiled.

"Alright then, let me show you to your rooms." One of the hosts guided us to the room and then as we entered and we heard the door closing he cleared his throat.

"How is this okay with you?" He asked.

"You see me as a little sister, didn't you say that. Plus you clearly stated you have no interest in me since the very start. I have nothing to worry about."

He seemed little annoyed by my behavior but considering how things were not going in my favor anyways... I said on my bed throwing my bag down. 

"I was hoping for a futon." I mumbled and pulled out my phone taking a picture of the room.

"The wedding is tomorrow morning. After that she said there is going to be small celebration and drinking with her friends and the next morning we can all leave." He said.

I looked at him. "Is this your first time meeting with your sister in a while?"

"Mmm, yes." He nodded his head and i noticed his face expression changed rapidly. Spontaneously i snapped a photo of him but after no reaction i put my phone down and decided not to play jokes yet. Even i was surprised by the cold way they greeted each other.

"Let's eat. That will cheer us up." I suggested and Ranmaru lifted himself up.

"Alright. I'm hungry anyways."

Since that was a motivation i decided it was a good start.

An hour later after delicious food i was hoping Ran's mood will get better. But, his mood went darker. 

  "Damn it. I should have brought my bass."    He murmured to himself while sitting on his phone.

"How about we go and talk to your mom and sister. I mean they did want to spend the wedd..." I stopped as i saw Ranmaru's face going even darker. 

"Or not." 

There was a really awkward silence. 

He looked like a teenager that didn't want to leave his room. 

Think Misaki, Think! How do i lift his mood ? No ideas were coming in.

I guess if i relaxed i could think of something but like this..I walked over to his bed and looked at him.

"Let's go in the hot spring and relax and after that we will figure out what to do with our time."

 If i'm lucky his mood might change.

"Mmm." He wasn't happy with that idea either.

 "I'm going to go and you can decide what you want to do by yourself." I took a towel and a hair tie and left in the room. He didn't say anything. 

As i got inside the water i was surprised there were only two women in there. However i couldn't care less about others. It felt so good.

After what seemed like forever I finally made myself go out and put on the yukata provided by the hotel. I was so happy. As i was walking down the hotel i ran into Ranmaru's sister. 

"Are you going in now?" I asked her politely. 

"Mm yes. My mom is sleeping so i wanted to relax on my own for a bit."

 "I see. You have to look refreshed tomorrow right?" I smiled. 

She smiled back and then nodded her head leaving  like she wanted to avoid me.

 "Not much of a talker ha?" I murmured to myself and then got back to my room. I walked in and looked for Ranmaru. Wow. I was surprised to see him in a yukata. His hair falling on his forehead and his body looked different .

 "Did you took a bath?" I asked him.

 "Yes. But not as long as you." He gave me a look and then walked over to the table and sat down.

There were two cups there. Assuming the other one was for me i sat down too and  reached to to pull the cup closer. It smelled like tea.

"Who said it was for you?" 

I pulled my hand back in the same moment.

Ranmaru eyed me and i realized he was teasing me.  I pulled the cup closer and took a sip. 

Things were getting a  little awkward with the intense silence.

Suddenly he turned towards me and just stared.

"What ?" I asked with a smile but his look was kind of intense.

kind of like..he was looking at me with desire.

He moved closer to my surprise.

"Ranma..ru." I leaned back a little bit as he leaned closer.

"You think it was a smart idea to be in a room alone with a guy." He said pushing a strand of hair behind my ear.

I opened my mouth but the words were coming out really slowly. "you won't do anything.."

"Why are you so sure?" He leaned even closer and i pulled back even further leaning on my elbows.

"Because.." I answered little confused and a bit anxious. My heart was beating fast.

"You look especially good in a yukata." Ranmaru face was so serious i couldn't believe he was joking.

"Why are you teasing me?" I asked.

"Am I?" He got on top of me and i laid back on the ground. My heart was beating fast, it was hard to breathe and my hands got cold. What was happening?

His hand reached and pulled off my hair tie sinking his fingers in my hair. 

 I wanted to say something and make him stop. But I also didn't want him to stop. My heart can't handle this..

"Don't just assume i won't do anything cause you know me." 

He was dead serious. This was no joke. His fingers traveled down my neck and he suddenly loosened my yukata. My eyes shut close but my arms instinctively wrapped around his waist. I didn't expect things to go down like this but... I guess  i am an adult..

As i clenched my fists he suddenly pulled away and i opened my eyes.

"You really are an idiot."

He got up and walked out of the room. My heart was beating so damn loud i wasn't sure if it was still properly working.

"Why am i the idiot?" I gripped the yukata closed.

p.s. I just started watching legend star and i love it how Ranmaru has so many scenes now. Not to mention i can enjoy his lines more. Like his perfect bananas. xD <3
