Kaya was surprised when her mother suddenly proposed the idea of accepting the royal letter of job offer. Kaya knew her mother loved her a lot and many times she gave in to fulfilling her daughter's wishes but sometimes nothing could persuade her mother. It felt like her mother was scared about something. Her mother had some fears and one of the fears she knew very well was losing her only daughter, Kaya.

Kaya smiled at Anamika who sat beside her blabbering some stuff about her maternal uncle who works in the palace. They were right now sitting in a bull cart travelling to the palace along with saya and Anamika's big brother. Anamika's brother was interested in joining the army and their uncle was going to make sure that he joins.

Anamika and her brother were least bothered about their jobs, unlike kaya who was scared of visiting the palace.

What if the Queen doesn't approve of her?

What if they sent her back?

Anamika and her brother had their uncle but kaya had no one who could help her and her mother in the palace. She had no relatives to make work easier for her.

Saya on the other hand was scared of the consequences of her this step. Various scenarios were raised in her head making her shiver in fear. When she ran away years ago she made sure she was well hidden for the sake of her daughter. She never tried to contact anyone or hear anything about the palace. There were many enemies and the thought of them touching their daughter scared her more. Now she was walking straight in the lion's den or straight in the arms of hope she gave up years ago.

She never wanted anyone to steal the innocent life of her beautiful daughter just how she got it stolen. She never wanted kaya to experience the little amount of pain that she went through. She never wanted her daughter to suffer through it. Kaya was the only reason she was alive. The only reason she was holding the hope of Palasha returning. The hope of seeing her son, holding him in her arms again.

Will he love her?

Does he even know about her?

He would be the same age as Kaya. Maybe He looked exactly like Kaya.

She caressed her daughter's head staring at the trees passing behind them. Kaya was sleeping with her head on her mother's shoulders while others were in deep slumber in their comfortable places.

Palace of Rakshatra

"This could be a trap" Tanirika sighed placing the sword on its cover. Her heart ached looking at the soldiers gathered around the compound. Two strong arms wrapped around her waist pulling her deep into a strong chest. She tilted her head back staring at the golden orbs.

"You are pouting. This won't work Tani"
Her husband said kissing her adorable pout.
He was dressed in a war amour his long hair pulled back in various braids something which he learned in Romania.

"This all doesn't make sense vasya, Shamerkhan demanding your presence as proof of treaty sounds sour. I don't think this is as simple as it looks. "

"I understand and I know this all can be a trap and if this is a trap then I will make sure every ringmaster of this game dies. I have stayed the longest resting in this palace since I got a sword in my hand tanirika. It's time I go and make sure that people who are out of their cells go deep in the ground "

Tanika stared at her feet absentmindedly, her mind was a haze and her heart worried about the man she loves.

"Meglos and mother will be here with you. I thought to leave Master Junious but since that old man is no fun and meglos is fun I thought to leave him here to give you company. "

Tanirika nodded still feeling unsure but reluctantly smiled at her husband. She realized she was acting like a kid. She was the queen and it was her duty to take the best decision for her kingdom.

Meglos entered their chambers after a few minutes making zravasaya roll his eyes in annoyance.

"I can't even have 10 minutes of privacy with my wife. "

"I heard that zravasaya"

"Well glad you did. "

Tanirika giggled at their childish banter. Meglos smiled cheekily at tanirika annoying the hell out of Zravasaya.

"Wait until the lioness comes to know that about all your secret stories and mischief. And this time I won't be here to save you"

Zravasaya whispered in thin air. Meglos choked a cough and replaced it with a nervous laugh. While tanirika looked at both of them with a clueless expression.

"Is there something I don't know "

Zravasaya laughed shaking his head while meglos tried to dodge the topic at his best level. Zravasaya's laughter got more wild when his eyes fell on lekha entering the chambers with Rakasa following behind. Lekha walked towards the table with a jug of water. Her eyes were trained on the floor as the presence of the devil in the room suffocated her.

She gently placed the jug on the table and got herself busy pouring a glass of water for the king who asked for it. Zravasaya smirked taking the glass of water from Lekha as his eyes never left the man sitting on one of the royal luxurious sofas near his wife.

"Lekha, did you inform the mother about his majesty's departure"

Lekha nodded her head her eyes still cast down. She could feel meglos piercing gaze on her making her feel uncomfortable.

"I heard mother was travelling to the north for the search."

"She was. But we stopped her. Make sure meglos, the mother stays home. She is very much disturbed and restless "

"She has been disturbed since we came here and got more disturbed when you got married. She felt she was doing something which was not her right. "

"She is my mother, our mother she will ALWAYS have a right on us. Why can't she understand that!"
Zravasaya hissed in anger slamming his fist on the table.

Meglos shrugged looking at tanirika who gave him a helpless look. Some things never work.

"Anyways I am happy that my mother's whole attention will be on me now. You and Loki out of the palace she will shower all her love on me. Her favourite son. "

He laughed teasing zravasaya.

"Too bad I am here too. " Tanirika sassed.

"Exactly and mother will love Tani more because she is going to miss me. Her husband will be sad. Unlike you who have other matters to attend to. "

Meglos snarled in annoyance making zravsaya smirk at him.

Zravasaya walked toward his horse ready to depart to his destination. For the first time since he arrived, he felt something tugging him back. His heart raced rapidly and his mind swirled in agony. The love leaping in his veins stronger than ever made him question his actions.

How will live without her?

Is he becoming weak?

"Vasaya," He heard a soft whimper. His heart clenched in worry as he thought about the various moments he spent with her. This was not the first time he was going to war. But for the first time, he felt he needed to come back for someone.

He turned around to face his beautiful wife. He could see the tears sitting at the edge of her eyes. And that was making him weak.

Love makes you weak.

Her soft hands cupped his face tickling the light subtle that formed, the soft sound of bangles meeting with each other added the essence of her in the air.

Her lips slowly came into contact with his forehead. That small gesture made him fall to his knees. He pressed their forehead together inhaling a chunk of air.

"Always remember I will always wait for you," she whispered.

"Always remember that your queen waits for you. "

"Always remember that I love you "

She quietly whispered burying her face into his chest. His arms clasped her petite frame in his strong ones. Placing a soft kiss on her forehead he smiled cheekily pulling her cheek.

"Always remember that my heart only beats for you Tani"

And that's how a large smile graced her sad face.

Tanika stared at the path where her husband disappeared for hours till she decided to make her way inside the palace. It was time to play the queen.

"Lekha send a message to advisor achyut that I desire his presence in the meeting room tomorrow morning. "

"Tani, The royal accommodation quarter head has just informed us that the new workers who were being awarded by you are gracing with their presence. Many of the people who were asked to serve at the royal palace for their artistry are paying a visit. "

Tanirika remembered the day when she asked the queen mother if she could appoint the beautiful artist who was a commoners across the kingdom of rakshatra as a worker for the royal palace. This could promise them a livelihood and new talent can surface through the walls of Rakshatra.

The chapter is a little messed up. But I thought to write something before we start regular updates. This chapter is small because I wanted to tell you all. We are back!!!! And we are going to complete this one.

We are nearing towards the climax. The plot is been set up.

Anyway, my life was a mess since last few months. Mom got sick, college got reopened offline. Anyways we are back.
