A queen who is with an oath
A queen who is brave 🥀

"For the people of asaka, I the first royal princess of Asaka pledge to carry the treaty from the side of asaka"

The wind blew from the lands of betrayal, taking everyone with it. The lands of the earth shook in fear of the ferocious warrior who came from the south to conquer the land of his birth. The chariot moved rapidly in the direction of the biggest kingdom once-blooming in love and care now ruled by the barbaric king of the south. The princess peeked from her chariot curtains, huge gates decorated by the elephants and Connoisseur hands of architectures.

"Baisa, Dont look outside the fear will crawl back to you " The lady-in-waiting, lekha held the hands of the princess grabbing her attention back.

"Lekha, I know what I am doing and what I have to do. For the kingdom of Asaka. " Her voice was soft, order lacing in her voice. The chariot came to a halt signalling their arrival in the kingdom. Lekha stepped out, adjusting her veil. The chariot keeper whispered the arrival of the princess of Asaka in the ears of the announcer standing in front of the gates. There were several chariots waiting in a queue. Some princess stood in front of the chariot with their veils
On their face, while some were still inside the chariot.

The drums rolled, grabbing everyone's attention. Her heartbeat raced as a nostalgic feeling travelled behind her neck. She closed her eyes remembering the pledge, faces of her people and the promise made to her father.

"Welcome the princess of the east, the princess of one of the biggest kingdom prosperous in land, spices, gold and military, the Princess of Asaka, Princess Tanirika the daughter of the king Tanaya. "

She stepped out of the chariot, placing her veil properly covering her whole face. Her hands joint in proper respect she bowed towards the end of the window, where the royal queen mother stood for the welcome of the princesses. A blurred red image of the queen mother nodding her head formed in front of her gazes. She stood straight looking down determined with the vow of saving her kingdom.

Her dark skin glowed under the rays of suns, creating a prism of light in front of her eyes. She stood firmly waiting for the other princesses to complete their arrivals.

"I The royal queen mother of Rakshatra welcome all the princesses to our kingdom. May God bless you with good fortune and prosperity. General Ketu will guide you towards the arrangements, please follow him. " The princesses waited under the soft rays of the sun until the Queen mother left the area. No words were exchanged all started to walk in a queue behind the guards in the direction of their future. The walls of the palace were enormously huge and well-sculpted. Various designs architected on the pillars, enhanced by the rays of the sun were a beautiful vision to gape at. Floral designs encraved on the doors, passages, ceilings, and pillars. Each craving telling a different tale of victory and sacrifice. The palace was designed by many skilled architectures of ancient times, blessed by the lord of architecture, Lord Vishwakarma himself. The connoisseur carvings depict the various shlokas and tales of victory speaking about the blessings of our ancestors.

Everything started a few months ago when a storm ignited from the north slaughtered the homes of innocent people living in this world. The storm was wild, ferocious, brave, and vengeful. The storm was developed from revenge.  The storm of rights and liens.

Many kingdoms were destroyed and taken under control. Once flourished and loved kingdom, Rakshatra was now ruled by the barbaric man who came from the north. Tales say that he came from the country situated seven seas away. Where Countries are rich in silver, glass, and linen, pillars of the land made by the slavery of humans.

The kingdoms who stood in front of rakhshatra were demolished, the soil forgetting the remains of their people once breathed the air on the land. Looking at the situation many kingdoms agreed on a treaty. The first unmarried royal princess of all the kingdoms will be sent to the palace of rakshatra to impress the king and be his bride. The bride will be the symbol of peace between all the kingdoms. The bond will be the symbol of all the other kingdoms bowing down to the greatest empire of the time ruled by the man who people say never belonged there.

The cold water reached till her shoulders, she stared at the sky from the bathing chambers. Her body consumed in the hot water eyes staring at the naked sky. The bath was surrounded by beautiful arched corridors having pillars and projecting ornate balconies with windows. She sat on one of the steps leading down to the floor of the bath while her lady-in-waiting lekha applied the oils on her arms. The canopy of curtains surrounded the bath from all directions with the help of pillars, creating a privacy chamber for the princess having a bath.

"Your eyebrows are creased together. Are you thinking about something Tani" Lekha asked her princess who was blankly staring at the sky?

"Fate is cruel. We have no control over our future. We think changing our present changes our future but what about the past which can never be changed"
Her voice held no emotion it felt like a deceased person was enunciating from death. Lekha looked at her princess for a brief moment.

"If it is death or punishment I will always be there for you tani. You are never alone. In this foreign kingdom, between all the people from different lands, we are the one for each other. And I will always be with you. If you become the queen then I will be your maid if you fail then I will walk with you back to our kingdom. "  before tanirika could reply to lekha, the pair of anklets walking towards their direction caught her ears. The curtains flared open making her cover her breasts.

"Pardon me. I never knew someone was here. " A beautiful princess stood in her plain lilac lehenga staring at tanirika. She quickly composed herself smiling at the princess.

"It's ok. You can join me. If you want to. " the princess smiled at her removing her upper clothes, she descended inside the water from the left side of stairs. Her lang hairs covering her shoulders and breasts she adjusted herself on one of the stairs and smiled at tanirika.

"One of the guards told me about this bath house. The other one has bees murmuring. "

Tanirika laughed slapping the waves of water with her hands.

"I am princess jignasa, the princess of jayana. "

"I am princess tanirika, the Princess of Asaka "

"You like to sit alone.? "

"I like peace and with everything going on I just wanted to have a little piece of silence for myself. " Tanirika replied smiling at jignasa who shared an understanding expression with her. Lekha walked out of the bathing chambers to grab some oils while tanirika and jignasa sat comfortably enjoying the water.

"Where is your lady-in-waiting? "

"She is the spy from my father. So I ordered her to gather some information "

"Information as if how to impress the king? "

"Well, isn't that obvious. Everyone here has a single goal be the bride of the barbaric king. "  she snorted, venom dripping from her voice.

"Everyone is here to ensure the safety of their people and family. We never have a choice. "

"There is always a choice.  The kingdoms would have fought together before decorating their princesses in a silver plate and presenting it the man who has no soul. Why should we think about people who don't think about us? " Tanirika knew she was being tangled in a web of questions. The princess sitting with her was a cunning one.

"Then why are you here. Every Princess carries a dagger which is our best friend and an escape from this world you call cruel. You have a reason to be here, it's written in your destiny or deep down you care for someone and that is the reason you are here sitting with me. " She replied washing her arm with water.

"If I got a chance then I will kill the king. "
She rolled a strand of her hair around her forefinger staring directly at tanirika.

"So you are the foe disguised as a friend. Should I take my dagger to make you unite with death "

"I wish death would come to me so easily. It won't. We are here on this earth for a reason and I honestly believe one cannot escape the events of life God has planned for us " The sudden change in the atmosphere alerted tanirika.  She looked at the princess who had a sad expression on her face, the playful mocking smirk was long gone.

"You speak from the soul. We both have the same reasons for choosing a silent place. "

" When our mind is not at peace, we run for the places which are silent because silence is peace. "

Tanirika smiled sadly resting her forehead on the bricks. Jignasa looked at her momentarily doing the same.

"All the ladies out there, have the same goal as us. But we just differ because somewhere deep inside our hearts we have a feeling of uneasiness and responsibility. The fear of responsibility. The fear of failing the whole kingdom and with all this deep down we know we are sacrificing everything our dreams and happiness for our people. "
She rested her cheek on one of the stairs and stared at jignasa who smiled looking at the princess who understood what was going inside her.

Her hands moved inside the water, splashing the water on tanirika's face. Tanirika scrunched her eyes covering her face to avoid the sudden hit of water droplets.

"It will be so easy to kill someone here inside the bathtub. Just hold them from the shoulders and press down, choke them till they die "

"And then like a good killer, let the body float in the water, wear your clothes and move out. " Tanirika completed. They both laughed together splashing water at each other.  Swimming in the pool of newly found friendship.

The curtain snapped open the next moment halting them both in their tracks. They both dipped down under the water covering their bodies looking at the intruder. A fear leapt scared princess stood outside.

"Pardon me. I thought dead souls were whispering this late at night. I didn't mean to intrude.  " Her whole body was shaking I fear as the words fall out of her mouth. Jiganasa and tanirika shared a glance after falling back laughing.

"The love of our life is death and we are here to take revenge. Come inside we are waiting to drown you. " jignasa whispered swimming towards the princess who stood at the entrance of the bathtub. Sweat buds formed on her forehead, her whole body started shaking in feat as her lips trembled to reply back.

Tanirika covered her mouth pressing her laughter back looking at jignasa who was busy in carrying out the prank.

"Don't be scared. We are humans. We are breathing. She was just - well you can join us "

"You are alive no dead wives of the late king " The princess whispered in fear.

"No. Trust me you can join us if you want " Tanirika replied while jignasa swam back to her side of the stairs sitting comfortably. The princess stared at both of the princesses before stepping inside the water.

"The other princesses were whispering about ghosts roaming in the palace for revenge.  I just - pardon me " she quickly apologized Bowing her head down in respect.

"Oh. There are no ghosts just two beautiful princesses discussing how to kill a person in this bathtub. " Fear started to cover her face again when tanirika held her hand snapping her little dream of death apart. She looked at tanirika who smiled generously at her.

"I apologize princess. We didn't mean to scare you. There are no ghosts here. We were just searching for peace. "

The princess smiled back looking at tanirika then at jignasa.

"I am princess pranaya from the kingdom of Prayag "

The night glowed under the moonlight as the three stood and bonded together under the water forgetting all the crises going on in their life with the fact that they were competitors, fighting to win the crown of the queen and only one will get it.

Hi!!!! I hope you all liked the chapter. I deleted three chapters because every damn chapter seemed disappointing to me.

I hope you are enjoying it. Trust me our female protagonist is strong and fierce. Every book has a strong one and talking about the male protagonist well, let's decide when we meet him. He is fun-

The starting chapters will seem a little boring but trust me the fun has not begun we are going to enjoy this.

As two words cannot stay on the same battlefield.
