Chapter 2: Snow Bird

The next days at school for you are awesome! You hang out with Randy and Howard and play video games with them for about a week. It's Monday now, and you and Randy are walking into school, laughing and groaning that it's Monday and you have to go to school. "Ok. Well, see you later,Y/N," he says, smiling and waving over his shoulder at you. You blush, but attempt to hide it.
As you start to walk to science, you spot Therisa. She's staring at you with an angry look on her face. "So, how are you and your new boyfriend getting along?" she asks. You blink at her in confusion.
"Oh, you mean Randy? Nah, we're just Bros," you say with a smile. Therisa scowls at you, but leaves the conversation behind and walks into science. What the juice was that about? you wonder to yourself.

It's lunch time. You pass by the table with the popular girls, the ones you used to sit and talk with. They all are whispering and staring at you like your not welcome there ever again. But you pay no attention to them. You walk right up to Randy and Howard's table. "Hey, guys," you say, setting down your lunch. Randy waves, Howard grumbles a hello through a mouthful of hamburger.
"Those girls seem pretty angry at you," Randy inquires. You look over at them. Their whispering and laughing, mockingly.
"I think Therisa's jealous," you whisper. Debby Kang glared at me after I said the word "jealous."
"Don't worry about them," Howard says. He's right, you think to yourself.

(Randy's POV)

The other girls are bothering Y/N. It's kind of hurtful. But, hey. Girl drama, ya know. Yet... I can't help feeling a sense of protection I need to give her. I just want to walk up to those girls and tell them to be nicer to Y/N. "She's done nothing to hurt you and neither has she said anything mean to you or behind your backs. Just... Chill out!" Especially Debbie Kang.
I was about to say something, when an explosion went off. It threw all of us against the wall, opposite of the explosion. I woke up, my hearing a little off, and my sight was blurred. But after a moment or two, I was ready to take on the beast that made that explosion happen.
I grabbed my Ninja mask and ran towards the crippled halls, lockers, and rooms. After a while of running, I couldn't find anything. "What the juice!? Who made that explosion go off?" I say out loud.
"Oh, Ninja, my feelings are hurt! Do you not remember me?" a voice asks from somewhere. Suddenly the lights flicker off and I'm in the darkness... But I'm not alone. A green glow is at the end of the hallway that I'm in. I get in my fighting position, ready to take on who the honk this is!
Then, around the corner, comes Evil Cyborg Julian. His eyes are light blue, and he still wears that stupid top hat. "Evil Julian," I say. "Why are you here? I thought you were off destroying the world and junk like that!" Evil Julian cackles.
"Oh, Ninja. I simply forgot one thing to do before I take over the world. Do you know what that one--" I cut him off because I'm sick of hearing his dumb voice jabber on and on about himself. I kick him, sending him flying towards the wall. He stands, unharmed,
"You did not let me finish!" He shouts angrily. His robotic tentacles stretch out and grab me. I'm unprepared for this and default to kicking and trying to punch the guy. But all of my attempts fail.
"The one thing I have to do before I take over the world, is make you suffer. For all the trouble you have caused me!" He threw me against the wall. I tried to get up and fight, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Julian looms over me, his robot hand just about to strike, when something happened. A single "tink" sound, and the robot stops.

--------------------------------------------

(Your POV)
What the juice are you doing!? Your gonna get yourself killed, you think to yourself. But you just couldn't let the Ninja suffer like that giant robot said. "Hey, you! Let him go," you say defensively. The robot turns to you, his eyes glowing with anger.
"Y/N! What the juice are you doing!? Get out of here," the Ninja yells. But you pretend not to hear him. You feel blood drip down your face from the explosion. But you don't care, all you want is to save the Ninja. You pick up another piece of stone and chuck it at the robot.
"Come and get me!" You scream. The robot turns to you, forgetting all about the Ninja. You turn your back and run away from the the thing, trying to dodge most of the debris in the dark. You trip and fall on a large piece of wood that had fallen from the ceiling. It's now semi-light and the robot looms over you. His metal tentacles wrap around your leg and lift you up to eye level with him.
"Pathetic, useless, brat! You will pay for this, you will!" he yells. He throws you to the ground, and lashes you with his tentacles. Blood and scratches everywhere. But you don't give up. For the Ninja! you think to yourself. Before he lashes you again, you pick up a sheet of dry wall and block his blows with it. Then, you notice a pillar is weak and all the debris above it seems heavy. You throw the dry wall slab at him and run over to kick the pillar. Instantly, the wreckage falls away and on top of the robot.
You suddenly feel weak. The blood is trickling down your face and arms. You sink to your knees, the feeling of pain like fire on your skin. "Y/N!" someone yells. But you can't look up to see who it is. You just stare off into the darkened distance. Someone runs up to you and takes you by the shoulders. "Y/N, can you hear me?" You blink slowly, feeling your blood run down your harms and around your eyes. "Y/N!" The voice echos again, this time, the person shakes you. After that you black out, only remembering that the Cyborg is gone.

(Randy's POV)

Oh, no, I think to myself. Y/N has just lost continuances. What the juice do I do!? I pick her up, and start running out of the halls as fast as I can. I saw what happened. She's the real hero. But I can't think about that now. As I run out into the commons or what ever the heck it's called, I find myself surrounded by students.
"Please, I need to get through," I say as loud as I can. The students make a path for me and I run out to the front of the school. I set Y/N down for a moment. I look at her scratches and cuts that hunk of junk did to her. Blood is literally pouring out of her wounds and I look at the suit to see dark patches where it had actually ran onto it.
I swallow my cry for help. Your the Ninja, you save people like Y/N. Come on. Get her to the hospital, I think to myself. I pick her up once more and run to the hostpital as fast as I can.

(A few hours later)

I'm sitting in the waiting room with Howard. Obviously, I took my mask off. Now, I'm just normal, regular Cunningham. Howard keeps telling me to calm down and to sit down and just hang. "No! I can't, Howard," I say, ultimately I sit in the chair next to him. "She didn't respond to me when i saved her. She was bleeding everywhere." After I said that, tears formed in my eyes and a few of them dropped down from my eyes.
"What if she dies? It'll all be because of me! She saved my life by distracting Julian, and she suffered FOR me," I said, snuffling and hiding my face in my hands.
"Mr. Cunningham and Mr. Weinerman," a lady says. We both bolt up out of our seats and walk over to her. "Right this way." She says. We walk down the hallway, seeing sick and injured patients everywhere. Then we stop at room 727.
In the room, I see Y/N. Her head is bandaged up, her arms and legs are under white covers, but I know that they are bandaged up too. "Yeah. She got pretty ruffed up," the lady says, writing something down on her clip board. "You were all lucky that the Ninja came and asked for help! Otherwise, she would have lost too much blood and she would have been done for."
You know how doctors just lay it out plain and simple to you, whether you WANT to hear it or not? Yeah, I hate it too. After she told us we could go in, I just went in and sat down. I couldn't think of anything to say or do. I just sat there and stared at her. To be honest, she looked absolutely beautiful just lying there. Well, except for the bandages and such.
The Nomicon called again from my satchel. "Fine, Nomicon," I said. Then I was sucked in. I fell right onto the streets of old Norrisville. It was winter, like my last visit here. The White Ninja was there again. She was flipping over the buildings, as if trying to center herself. "Hey!" I yelled up to her. She turned her head and stared at me. Her white scarf waved around and puffs of white huffed out of her mask.
Then she backflip led off the building. I waited a little bit to see her again. "Beware the bird that hides in the snow." I read aloud again. Suddenly, a black and white bird exploded from the snow and caught me off guard. Then I was shlooped out.
