Welp this sparked from Meowki25's AU, and in this AU, the Axis and Allies are gym leaders, and I decided to make my own version
I have a seperate AU thing where the Allies are the Elite Four and Champion(still choosing between America and Russia ;-;), but I'm not talking about that
Anyway here are the ideas
(Ps, I will break alot of rules about the types for each gym so that they will fit the character)
Edit: I have changed China's and Japan's pokemon a bit since I remembered that Ninetales if based of a Chinese mythological fox, not a Japanese one

Italy- Normal/Fairy gym leader(1st gym)
Ace pokemon- Swirlix(since this pokemon loves to smell, and Italy loves food, and Swirlix is also literal cotton candy)
Other Pokemon- Igglybuff, Lilipup

Romano- Normal gym leader(alongside Italy(yeah, straight away we get a gym with a double battle))(1st gym)
Ace pokemon- Eevee
Other pokemon- Snorlax, Zigzagoon

Germany-  Fighting/Dark(Fighting from the fact he trains alot, and Dark from Nazi Germany)gym leader(2nd gym)
Ace pokemon- Hitmonchan
Other Pokemon- Scraggy, Poochyena(cuz he loves them doggos :3)

Prussia(a substitute gym leader, altough you don't see him that much cuz Germany is almost always running the gym)- trainer/Fighting gym leader(I tried reading about his personality to make it easier to decide his gym type but it was so long and didn't give me much information)(2nd gym)
Ace pokemon- Torchick(if maybe in the story you battle him in the post-game, I'd give him a Blaziken)
Other pokemon- Riolu(Idk I got lazy), Machop(I guess?)

Japan- Ghost/Psychic(with some others types in there, and since alot of their myths do revolve around ghosts and phychics) gym leader(3rd gym)
Ace pokemon- Oricorio Sensu Style
Other pokemon- Misdreavus(Idk), Meowstic(male)(cuz Its based on the myth that cats who have split tails have psychic abilities)

America- Flying gym leader(Cuz FREEDO- oh wait I'm not american)(4th gym)
Ace pokemon- Braviary(cuz Braviary=Eagle and Eagle=Freedom)
Other pokemon- Fletchinder, Pikipek, Pidgeotto

Canada(another substitute gym leader, however, you can see him more often than Prussia cuz America can be lazy at times)- trainer/Ice gym leader(4th gym)
Ace pokemon- Cubchoo(Cuz Kuma)
Other pokemon- Vanillite, Alolan Vulpix, Burgmite

England- Fairy/Psychic gym leader(cuz MAGIC)(5th gym)
Ace pokemon- Kadabra
Other pokemon- Mime Jr., Kirlia, Munna

France(Ohonhonhon)-  Normal/Fairy gym leader(but all of his pokemon know Attract)(6th gym)
Ace pokemon- Florges
Other Pokemon- Sylveon, Aromatisse(cuz the Black death), Delcatty

China- Fire/Dragon gym leader(7th gym)
Ace pokemon- Infernape(cuz Chinese zodiac)
Other pokemon- Ninetales(since it's based of a chinese nine-tailed mythological fox), Dragonair(Chinese zodiac), Pignite(chinese zodiac), Torracat(cuz tiger... and tiger=chinese zodiac)

Russia- Ice/Dark gym leader(with some ghost and fire types in there)(8th gym)
Ace pokemon- Absol(this pokemon is misunderstood, just like him)
Other pokemon-  Chandelure(Cuz why da faq not ▲), Sneasel, Amaura, Beartic

Well that took way too long
(Also, if you want to see the Nordics and the Soviet trio get gyms in their own region, I would love to do that)
I was also originally gonna give them some lines(ya know, those random words gym leaders throw out before and after battle), but I was screwing it so bad that I just gave up on that X'D
(Also, WHY ISN'T FLORGES BOTH FAIRY AND GRASS TYPE AND NINETALES ALSO PSYCHIC OR FAIRY?!)
