Oh the manananggal, basically a Philippine vampire! Its hideous, its gross, but most importantly... its awesome, the Philippines loves mythical creatures, and if you search google for a list there will be quite alot(I searched the Wiki and they showed me 32 plus one.), anyway, I was bored so I made a story explaining the basic stuff about a manananggal, so here we go I guess(sorry in advance if its terrible)

It was night, it was dark... perfect...
A scream rang out, and a pregnant woman was running away from her home

the manananggal,

A creature with no hips or legs with wings soon followed

A hideous vampire-like creature from the class 'Aswang' originating from the Philippines, it looks like a normal female at day, but at night...

Terrified, the woman kept running not just for her life

It goes somewhere hidden, and...

While the the winged monster just kept following

It separates from its lower half, sprouting wings but making it vunerable to sunlight

The woman doesn't care her baby ends up unhealthy, as long as it lives, its fine. Monster, with its long, sharp tongue out, keeps flying towards her

It sneaks into pregnant women's houses, and with its long tongue, eats the fetus, and sometimes even harms the mother

The woman screams for help as she keeps on running, soon, some of the village people come out of their homes, terrified by the sight, they grab weapons, rosaries with crosses, and some salt

However, the other half, or the torso, is just left standing, and is vunerable to salt, ashes, and crushed garlic, sprinkling any of those with kill it, and by sunrise...

Some of the villagers start attacking the the bat-winged monster, while the rest go and tries to find the lower half, soon enough they find it and put salt over it, and it immediently dies, the monster, sees this and seems to panic, all of the villagers run to their homes and shut the door, locking them, and wait for sunrise, by the time daylight breaks through the horizon

With nothing to give them their immunity to the light...

The creature screams in agony and in a matter of seconds, dies.

They perish

Welp short but okay I guess, this is only a simple version of what this creature is, I have put aside some other facts for you to reseach
