Well I was watching a Steven Universe clip from Change your mind(the season finale) and I saw this comment that claimed that the diamonds could have used to be one, as White Diamond states
"But you're a part of me, a part I always have to repress."
So I had this idea for a story revolving around the theory for like 3 days XD
I think if a certain amount of people will like this, I'll start writing a fanfic :)

Creak

Hundreds of Thousnads of years ago

Creak

In the depths of the Earth

Creak

A special gem was forming

...

Despite it's size and beauty...
It was...
Impure

Imperfect

Flawed

Soon, it was found
By ancient humans
But, they didn't know what to do with it, they didn't know it's worth
So they threw it away near a river, there it stayed for the next few centuries...
And then...

Glow

It started to form...
A body...
A mind
Some emotions
A heart

Opening it's eyes it sees the river, the forest that stretches out for miles on both sides of it, strange creatures called animals and birds.
Hearing the sounds of nature.
But it didn't know where it was, or what it's suppost to be.
It was lost

It can't look anywhere else but the sky, the summer sunset starts to peek below the horizon, giving way to the stars and the moon.
But something about it gave it a new feeling, what it saw the sky as.

It was perfect

It stared in awe, it wanted to go there, it wanted to see it's perfection
It wanted to be like it's perfection

So, it jumps, it may have caused a large earthquake, but it didn't look down to see it, it only looked at the sky, where it was heading

Soon it reached space, it looked around to see stars, galaxies, other planets, and so much more, it wanted to be as perfect as them
At least, a part of it wanted to....

But it noticed something, the stars... they were pure, they were bright, they were white.
Then it looked at itself, it saw impurity, darkness, imperfection

It now wants to get rid of these imperfections in it's body

So, painfully and very slowly, it forces itself to split, sheding away it's emotions, body, and heart, leaving

A white perfection

Now that it has split, now that one of them was perfect, it felt satisfied, of course, deep down, the white one knew that the 3 other beings that were once one with it are still a part of it, so... it wanted them to be perfect too
No
It wanted to make more perfect beings
But it knew
They can't just make other beings from nowhere
so...
They had to find a good planet,

....

They found it... a planet filled with life, perfect for...

Gem creation...

They didn't know how, but they will try
They will do it in this new planet...
Called...

Mars

What is this? A plot-twist? And only in the preview?
For those of you who are confused, scientist have proven that life has existed on Mars, and I thought it was a cool idea if the Diamonds were the reason for it's lifeless state insted of it's weak magnetic field
I actually wrote this with no plan in mind, so I went with the flow 😏
And turns out the river that the flow was in had alot of spikey rocks :/
So did you like the crappy writing? :)
Also note, it took Black Diamond years, decades, or even centuries to fully split, just clearing that up
