HOLY FUCK!!!!!

Everything I've been told about the correlations and/or equivalents between the four Hogwarts houses and the four Ilvermorny houses have been nothing but LIES!!!!!

While my boyfriend was doing his sorting on Pottermore today, I decided to research the correlations/equivalents of the two schools houses. Although JKR herself has said there are "no equivalents" from house to house between Hogwarts and Ilvermorny, this article (the link will be at the bottom of this post) is the BEST article I've found on showing the similarities between the two schools houses. Thus, showing how they can, in fact, be equivalent, or at least have a correlation.

Here's the correlations/equivalents the article states, but please take a few minutes to read the article because it's really good (in my opinion).

Hogwarts : Ilvermorny
Slytherin : Thunderbird
Hufflepuff : Pukwudgie
Ravenclaw : Horned Serpent
Gryffindor : Wampus

Sooooo...according to my own Pottermore sorting and this article, I truly am Slytherin through and through because even my Ilvermorny house is Thunderbird. I'm actually very happy about this! And because these are my houses, I'm listing the traits/characteristics of them.

Slytherin House: Common traits of Slytherins include being cunning, resourceful, shrewd, ambitious, creative, and having a strong sense of self-preservation. They're like their emblem: sleek, powerful, and frequently misunderstood. Slytherins look after their own and will never leave their own behind. Slytherins are always striving to be the best. They play to win, because they care about honour and tradition.

Thunderbird House: The Thunderbird represents the “soul,” and is said to favor “adventurers”. Thunderbirds are ambitious and introspective, soulful in the sense that they look inside themselves when faced with a decision or moral dilemma. Thunderbirds are independent, defined by their underlying desire to explore all options and seek advancement for themselves or the cause they believe in. A Thunderbird is a Slytherin, without the attached prejudice from the wizarding world at large, and resulting segregation from the rest of the students.

Yep...I'm definitely a Slytherin AND a Thunderbird!! Anyone who truly, honestly knows me would wholeheartedly agree.

Now if someone could make a thunderbird emoji, that'd be great!

The yellow hearts are for my boyfriend who was sorted into the Hogwarts House of Hufflepuff, and that's ok with me because I couldn't be more proud of him. He was also sorted into the Ilvermorny House of Horned Serpent, and that's ok as well. I love him no matter what.
