Maria leaves James' house an emotional wreck. "GET BACK HERE, I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET,"James yelled at her. Knowing James, Maria couldn't be with him anymore. So she walked a block away (ayyyeeee) to her friend Eliza's house. She knocked on the door. Philip, Eliza's oldest son answered. "Hello young one. Do you know where your mother is, " she asked. Philip replied, "She's in the kitchen. Here I'll take you there, Ms. Reynolds. "

Eliza was in the kitchen on her phone when Philip walked in with Maria, bruised and tear streaks down her cheeks. Eliza had already divorced Alexander because he cheated on her with his best friend John Laurens. "Oh my goodness, Maria, " she exclaimed. "Philip why don't you go to Theodosia's house, " she then asked him.

He left and Maria sat next to Eliza. "Now what happened, " she asked. Maria sniffles and then cries, " James he-he. "She then broke out into sobs. Eliza hugged her and said, "It will be okay. " "But what if it won't, "she asked. "It will," Eliza reassured her.N:They both lean in closer to each other. "Have I ever told you you look beautiful today, " Eliza tells Maria. She blushes, then kisses her like there's no tomorrow. Eliza accepts the kiss. Little did both of them know, Philip, Theodosia, John, and Alex we're at the back door, exchanging money.
