This is in memory of my great grandmother who passed away January 23 at around 7:30 peacefully in the hospital. I miss her everyday. So to the story! 😢😢😢😢

Y/N POV:
I was entering the bodega and saw Usnavi there. Upon seeing him, I see the only other kid my age in the neighborhood, Sonny, come out from the back. "Hey, Y/n, "Usnavi said. I respond with a quick hi. "Quick question. Has my dad stopped by today, " I ask. My dad owned a dispatch and was great friends with Usnavi. "Yeah. He told me to tell you that he'll be stopping by at 1:00 to tell you something. Very urgent, " he explained.

The clock struck one so my dad was on his lunch break. He stopped by about a few seconds later. "Hey Usnavi, " he said. "Benny, great to see you. The usual for lunch, " he asked. "Nah, "he replied. That's weird. He always wanted a chicken salad on his lunch break. "So, um..... Y/n.....," he said. "Yeah dad, "I ask. "I have something to tell you. Usnavi, hold her back from running off, "he said. Usnavi held me in my place. He then started to talk,"So Y/n, today at around 9:00 am, your aunt sadly passed away. I'm so sorry. "

Tears welled up my vision. Usnavi let go of me. I then ran towards the back room. I knew this store like the back of my hand. I see Sonny sitting down on one of the chairs. "Hey. What's wrong, " he asked. My voice then started to crack, "S-sonny. M-m-my abuiela passed-" I couldn't take it anymore. I started to sob. He grabbed me into a hug. "I'm so sorry, " he said.

Sonny's POV:
I felt so bad for Y/n. She was so close to her abuiela. I mean, I did tell Graffiti Pete about my secret crush towards her. He would tease me about it. I decided to tell her today. But not now. Not now. Not yet.

She then gets up and leaves. I wonder where she's going.

Y/n POV:

I run down to the salon that Daniela and Carla own. They're like my sisters to me. Mom might be down there too. When I walk in, I see Daniela, Carla, Vanessa, and my mom, Nina. "Hey Y/n how are you doi- what's wrong, "she asks. I then start to cry and my mom whispers something in her ear. "Oh, I'm so sorry, " she says. She pauses then continues. She says, " Did you know, about 12 years back, we lost someone very close to us. Yep, Abuelia Claudia."  Soon enough, Usnavi, my dad, Sonny, and Graffiti Pete burst into the salon. "So I believe Sonny has something to say, " Usnavi says. Graffiti Pete nods his head, and my dad smiles like never before. "Wha-". I then get cut off by something on my lips. I then pull away to see Sonny smiling like a idiot. "Listen. IreallylikeyouandIhopewecangooutsometime, " he says really fast. "Huh, " I ask. "What I meant to say was, I really like you and I want to go out sometime, " he says. "Wow, " Usnavi and Graffiti Pete say at the same time. I look at both my dad and mom, they nod their heads. "Okay, "I say. As my mom, dad, and I leave the salon, all you could hear was Sonny yelling, "YES! "
