Okay... Idea...
I'm in the process of pre-writing my next D&D Campaign, and it's a sequel to my first.
My players didn't kill Strahd properly, so he's coming back. But if I'm connecting this campaign... why not find a way to connect Princes of the Apocalypse? And I'm setting up the next campaign in my current one so... why not connect them all?
So far it seems like separate campaigns... I even say so... but what if at the end I reveal it was all one campaign with a mastermind in the background?
Throughout the course of my campaigns so far, my players have created some issues, that haven't been solved, so what if the mastermind takes advantage of this? Why would the mastermind do this?
I want him to be Yan-C-Bin. But he needs a good reason. I have it planned that be betrays Aresi in POA, and so far it seems e wants to destroy the world. But I don't want him... a spirit of elemental evil... to be just evil... even though it's in his nature...
I don't wanna pull an Infinity Gauntlet or Infinity War villain either.
Any ideas?

Also, in case if you haven't seen my cat enough.
