Lofty Challenges
Two or three weeks ago I returned back home... to back stage. This time with the director my friend and I like, and some more annoying actors!
Lemme introduce you to the crew (fake names of course):
Wolf: Your "favorite", and right hand of the unofficial stage manager. Denys her slight fear of- HEY! That doesn't scare me.... you'll never know....
Callie: Unofficial Stage Manager, best friend, and a loyal D&D player. Secretly evil.
Alex: Drummer and lover of low budget... trashy... films. One of our newest editions, and is the unofficial prop master.
Lopez: A D&D player, also works sound. Also a Drummer, who is also in marching band. His name here is from a joke based on one of his old D&D characters.
Dillion: Is a package deal with one of the actors. If she's not there... he's not there. Probably not a reliable crew member... also a new addition.
Now that you know the psychopa- crazy people back Stage... and we defiantly are not a cult... with a leader... and we don't wear all black... OH SHUT UP!
So anyway.... Callie and I did our second backstage clean up. The prior week we hung up a bunch of costumes on the floor (we had no clue why they were like that), her and Alex found hangers for me so I could make the entire thing neat. Now half of the men's costume rack in dedicated to women's costumes.
Oh... there's so many more in the costume/props closet...
We reorganized the hats (by that we mean toss them back up on the shelves.)
Then you know some actors put on the fur coats, taking them off their hangers, then when they're done wearing them, the coats aren't put back on the hangers. Then I have to dig through the rack (and there are a lot of costumes on there) just so the place can be neat and orderly.
Well yesterday Callie and I went up into the loft:
Stage
My heeled combat boots on the table... don't wear heels when you walk up ladders people.
Entrance to the Catwalk where all the spot lights are.
Old sets and a Callie.
We had an ex-boy scout and actor help attach ropes to the props we were pulling up, and he would guide them up the ladder. Then I went up and helped move them to their new homes.
Callie and I found another door... we've destroyed one, and one day this white door will come back for revenge... for we murdered its brethren!
There's some cool stuff up there, old suitcases, set flats and old props... then evil things. Like the door and old set pieces from Elf.
I was of course terrified of....
I bravely went down the ladder. Remover kids... bravery isn't the absence of fear, rather over coming it... or was that courage.
Is Wolf terrified of-
NOPE! HELL NO!
Ladders are fine....
I'LL OVER COME THIS NEXT WEEK!
