Stranger: (Say if reading please) (Blake is an aspiring Pokemon coordinator in the Sinnoh region from Floaroma Town. He has dark shaggy brown hair that just barely touches his shoulders. He has dark blue eyes and a smile that can light up a room. He already has two ribbons and is in Veilstone City to earn his third ribbon.)
The announcer calls over the speakers, "Next up we have contestant #14 Blake from Floaroma Town. Could you please come onto the stage for your appeal performance?" I walk up to the door leading out onto the stage. Taking a deep breath I run out onto the stage jumping up and throwing a pokeball into the air. "Glaceon showtime!!!" The ball opens up and a shower of snowflakes rains down onto the field converging together in one spot as my Glaceon materializes onto the stage. "Quick Glaceon use Shadow Ball!!." A big ball of purple, black and blue forms in front of Glaceon as its shot straight up into the air. "Now use Ice Beam!!" The Ice Beam shoots away from Galceon hitting the Shadow Ball in mid-air as it explodes into a beautiful shower of Blue, Purple and Black fireworks that rain down over the crowd and onto the stage. "Finish with Mirror Coat!!" Glaceon begins to glow as beams of light shoot out from its body passing through the colored particles still raining down projecting a kaleidoscope type pattern onto the ceiling of the arena. Glaceon then jumps up and does a double sommersault and lands lightly on top of my shoulders as I pose ending the performance. The crowd cheers showing what they thought of the performance. After the judges give their take on it, I walk through the door and back into the waiting room where the coordinators hang out during the competition. I sit down taking a deep breath and letting it out glad to have gotten that out of the way. It had taken many strenuous hours of hard training and work for him and Glaceon to perfect that performance and he was glad it had gone off without a hitch. Suddenly a person out of nowhere walks up to him saying, "Well well didn't expect to see you here of all places." Looking up, my mouth almost hits the floor in shock as I realize who it is that's talking to me. (Can be any character and any gender you want. Can be an old childhood friend or rival, childhood crush or and ex-girlfriend if you want. The possibilities are endless. Stranger: I don't know why but Glaceon will always have a soft spot with me

Stranger: this is a little weird for me considering I"m 19 and in college lol

You: lol. don't worry. I'm not that bad...

Stranger: I'm afraid you just won't give me much to go off of :/

Stranger: no offense

Stranger: or be serious about it

You: I've done a lot of elaborate roleplays, believe me. I'm plenty serious about it.

You: I just get very derpy at night.

You: Especially when I stayed up till 1 last night playing Rabbids Land on my friend's Wii U.

Stranger: ok prove it. Give me a response to the starter I just put up

You: ok. her name is Silver and she has amber-ish eyes and silver hair (dyed, obviously) and can be arrogant sometimes and loves being right but hates being put down or seeing people bullied.

I smirk slightly. "Surprised to see me? I am too. Didn't think we'd both be competing." I tap my Pokeball against my hip. I hear the announcers over the speakers. "Next up is Silver from Floaroma Town!" I grin. "That's my cue! See ya in the battle rounds!" As I walk out on the stage, my grip tightens on the Pokeball. "Umbreon, go!" In an explosion of shadow, my beloved Umbreon appears. "Use Confuse Ray, then follow up with Shadow Ball!" Umbreon shoots a purple ray in the air. Before it dissipates, she launches a Shadow Ball at it and it spreads over the stage in a shower of purple and black sparkles. I take a bow along with Umbreon and walk off the stage.

You: (took me forever, had to look up umbreon's gen4 moveset.. lol)

Stranger: (that was a short appeal)

You: (i'm sorry it wasn't very good, i'm tired and couldn't think of much. if i had as much energy as usual, i'd be putting out appeal like nobody's business)

You: (at least i think so. i've never done contest roleplay before, only read it.)

You: (plus, that's my style. short and sweert)

You: (sweet*)

You: (...)

You: (i know, my skill level is disappointing compared to yours.)

Stranger: I get up from my seat standing in front of the giant screen showing the stage. I watch Silver's performance finding myself clenching my fists without knowing it. They had grown up together in Floaroma town and had been childhood friends. Little did he know at that time, she would become a large part of his life going forward. He walked over to the couch again and sat waiting for her to come back into the waiting room as he watched the remaining coordinators do their performance on the big screen.

You: (you switched from first to third..)

Stranger: (I did?)

You: (yeah)

Stranger: sorry

Stranger: my bad

You: I walk back into the waiting room and sit on the couch opposite Blake. "What didja think?"

You: (this is my roleplay style, short and wait for the other person to respond so i can elaborate it)

Stranger: I sit there pulling out one of my pokeballs and starts to polish it. I smirk before turning your direction. "Not bad for an ameteur," knowing that would push your buttons.

You: My brow furrows slightly as I scowl at him. I send out Umbreon and she curls up beside me as I pet her.

Stranger: "What not gonna answer me (insert childhood pet name here)??" I keep polishing the pokeball watching her reaction.

You: (silv is her nickname)

You: I growl at him. "You know I hate that name!"

Stranger: I chuckle. "So defensive."

You: I roll my eyes. "Sometimes I wish things were like they were back home."

Stranger: Confused and a little interested I ask, "what do you mean?"

You: I sigh slightly as Umbreon nuzzles my hand. "Where we hadn't a care in the world whether or not we got Ribbons. We used to be best friends and look at us now, fighting over a Contest."

Stranger: "Look Silv, its my dream to conquer the Grand Festival in every region and anyone who gets in my way is not my friend. You can't win while being nice."

You: "Blake, being nice isn't letting people walk all over you. Being nice is where whether or not you win or lose, you tell the other person they did nice because if they managed to get to your level, at least they're pretty good."

Stranger: "One problem with that. You haven't gotten to my level yet."

Stranger: (sorry I wasn't planning on making my character seem somewhat of a butt head. It just evolved in the past few minutes lol)

You: (lol)

You: I sigh sadly, and Umbreon looks at me concernedly. "Never mind, Blake.."

You: (like i said, she hates being put down)

Stranger: I reach over taking your hand and looking at you. "Hey Silv. I'm sorry I just get worked up during contests. My rival back in the Kanto region when I was over there pushed me to the edge multiple times and made me rethink my methods and sometimes I take it out on other people. Seeing you here was way unexpected and I'm still recovering from the shock."

You: I smile slightly. "It's okay, Blake. I know how stressful these can get.."

You: I look away, blushing furiously.

Stranger: Oblivious to your reaction I reach over picking up the pokeball I was polishing earlier. "Well since you got an Umbreon I might as well bring out my partner in crime. Glaceon come on out love." I open up the pokeball and a light blue creature looking similar to Umbreon materializes.

You: Umbreon looks up, interested. "Eon?" she says.

Stranger: Glaceon walks over slowly sniffing the surrounding air as it approaches Umberon.

You: (is glaceon male or female)

Stranger: (female)

You: (umbreon is too lol)

You: (they can be bffs! XD)

Stranger: (I thought you were going somewhere else XD)

You: (oh hail naw)

You: (if glaceon was male then maybe they coulda had crushes but hail naw)

Stranger: (well lets continue

You: Umbreon jumps down from the couch and sits down, looking at Glaceon curiously.

Stranger: Glaceon does the same letting out a friendly, "Glaceon."

You: "Umbreon!" Umbreon smiles and twitches her tail, trying to start a conversation.

Stranger: "Glace Glace, Eon Glaceon!!" Glaceon says happily.

You: Umbreon butts her nose against Glaceon's forehead, a sign of friendship between Umbreons.

Stranger: Glaceon taps Umbreon's back leg with her tail doing the same.

Stranger: "Well looks like they are instant friends," I say with a smile. "Maybe later I can show my other pokemon friends."

You: I grin. "Maybe." I look up at the big screen. "They started battle rounds!"

Stranger: (already?)

You: (well appeal rounds aren't very long and there aren't many i guess)

Stranger: I look at the board and see I'm up against a girl who put up the fourth best score in the first round. I smile to myself remembering briefly what her pokemon were knowing exactly who to use next.

You: I start thinking of any combo attacks I could use.

Stranger: "Would the coordinators in the first battle please make their way to the stage," the MC says over the speakers.

Stranger: (you there?)

You: (yeah)

You: I sigh as I find I'm not battling him.

Stranger: I smile as I look at you. "You do know that you're one of those coordinators right?"

You: (u talkin to me? lol)

You: "What do you mean?)

You: "*

Stranger: "You're up first Silv better get going."

You: "Oh, crap!" I quickly return Umbreon and run to my spot on the stage.

Stranger: I chuckle watching her rush out onto the stage. "Still just as oblivious as always," I say to myself as I get ready to watch her match.

You: (double or single battles?)

Stranger: (You pick)

You: (double! yay)

You: I grin as I know exactly what Pokemon I will use. "Umbreon, Gardevoir, go!"

Stranger: (ummmmmm you can make the match as short or as long as you want. :) )

You: (you play as the opponent)

Stranger: (why?)

You: (idk.)

Stranger: (But that defeats the whole purpose:p)

You: (of what)

Stranger: (fine)

You: (waiting lol

You: )

You: (hello)

Stranger: The opponent, a purple haired male that had put up the third best appeals score walks up into his place. He pulls out two pokeballs from his belt enlarging them then throwing them.

Stranger: I"m deciding on pokemon :P

Stranger: "Duslops, Breloom take arms!!"

You: (ghost and fighting. heh.)

You: I smirk at the type matchup. "Umbreon, use Shadow Ball! Gardevoir, use Psychic to enlarge it and hold it in place!" The Shadow Ball grows to twice its normal size and has a pinkish tint to it. "Now, Umbreon, use Iron Tail!" Umbreon leaps in the air and bats the ball with her tail, sending it flying toward the other team.

Stranger: "Quick Dusclops use Ice Beam to intercept!" Dusclops shoots out a blue beam of ice at the Shadow ball freezing it in mid-air. "Now Breloom use Dynamic punch to send it flying back!!"

You: "Umbreon, use Dark Pulse to send it back!" Umbreon releases a pulse of shadow that pushes the ball back.

You: (....)

Stranger: The giant blue ball of frozen shadows (never thought I'd ever say something like that XD) is sent hurtling back in the direction of Dusclops and Breloom. "Iron Tail Breloom!" Brelooms tail glows a bright white getting ready to make a move. "Now use it to jump up into the air, then Dusclops use Secret Power then Ice beam.!" Dusclops shoots out little white blobs of light out in front of breloom then an ice beam to freeze those blobs.

Stranger: Now Breloom Use your Iron Tail on that Hidden Power and use it to intercept their attack!!"

You: "Gardevoir, use Barrier!"

You: "Umbreon, use Confuse Ray through the Barrier!" The Barrier turns purple and passes through the icy Hidden Powers, refracting like a chandelier and striking Breloom.

Stranger: Points begin falling off my score as the attack is both appealing and strong in pushing back breloom.

Stranger: "Now Breloom spin and go into a Take Down. Dusclops use Psychic to give him momentum forward!!"

You: "Now, Umbreon, use Dark Pulse! Gardevoir, use Dazzling Gleam!" The pulse becomes infused with pink sparkles and pushes at Breloom, pushing it to an almost standstill.

Stranger: "Come on Breloom push through it. Don't give up!!"

You: "Gardevoir, use Psychic to throw the pulse and Breloom!" Gardevoir's eyes gleam blue and throws Breloom backwards, as well as propelling the Dark Pulse/Dazzling Gleam combo.

Stranger: The barrage is pushed back into Breloom as it flies back hitting Dusclops in the process knocking them both out of the match. The judges pull out their Xs signaling the end of the match.

You: I pump my fist and pull Umbreon and Gardevoir into a hug before returning them.

Stranger: (not bad on the combos. You sure you haven't done this before?)

You: (i haven't done this before, but i have read lots of pokemon fanfics.)

Stranger: (I can tell.)

You: (thanks.. XD)

Stranger: I walk my way down the hall since I'm in the next match. "Our next battle features Blake from Floaroma town who placed in the top 8 at both the Indigo Plateau and Slateport City Grand Festivals going up against Elizabeth from Eterna City!!"

You: I nod at Blake as I walk down the hall, sending Umbreon and Gardevoir back out as I sit on the couch in the waiting room.

Stranger: (you wanna do the same thing and play as the opponent?)

You: (sure)

Stranger: I walk out onto the stage pulling out my two pokeballs. "It's time," I say quietly to myself.

Stranger: (give me a sec to decide on my pokemon)

You: (same lol)

Stranger: "Alright. Staraptor, Gardevoir Showtime!!"

You: "Lucario, Banette, to the battlefield!"

Stranger: (wow Lucario really?? lol)

You: (lucario and banette are my pokemon y mvps)

Stranger: I smirk looking in my opponents direction. "Ladies first."

You: "Lucario, Aura Sphere! Banette, Shadow Ball! Combine them and Banette, use Sucker Punch!" The Aura Sphere and Shadow Ball become a roiling sphere of black and blue, and Banette punches the sphere and sends it toward Staraptor and Gardevoir.

Stranger: (can you at least let me win?) lol

You: (hehe fine.)

Stranger: Intercept with Rapid Fire Shadow Ball Gardevoir, Staraptor use Double Team to Surround the shadow Balls then Gust to give them speed!!"

You: (struggling to think of what to do now lol.)

You: (can i use gen6 moves? XD)

Stranger: (wow that wasn't that good of a move that I did :p)

You: (wait never mind, i used dazzling gleam already. im trying to think of something to counter it)

Stranger: "Now Staraptor go into a steep climb, then dive back to the ground using Quick Attack then Aerial Ace. Gardevoir Thunderbolt then Psychic to surround Staraptor with it!!"

You: "Lucario, use Metal Claw to grab Staraptor and Banette, use Shadow Claw!"

Stranger: "Quick Staraptor Double team to dodge then Continue with the Aerial Ace!

You: "Fusion Sphere!" (aura sphere and shadow ball) "Use it to stop Staraptor in its tracks!" The black and blue sphere meets Staraptor head-on, and they appear at an impasse.

Stranger: "Help out Staraptor Gardevoir quick!! Focus Blast right at their Fusion Sphere!!" The Focus Blast fuses with the already large Ball of energy as it gives Staraptor a chance to get out of there. "Time to finish this. Staraptor Use Close Combat to send that Giant Ball Flying!!"

You: "Lucario, use Detect!" Lucario tries to cross its arms to block it but is not fast enough, and Lucario and Banette are sent flying, fainted.

Stranger: I run up to congratulate both Gardevoir and Staraptor. "You guys did great now take a good long rest," I say after returning them to their pokeballs. I walk back into the waiting room. I find you sitting on one of the couches facing the giant screen as the next battle gets underway. "So what did you think of that one Silv? "

You: I chuckle. "Wasn't bad. You countered well."

Stranger: "Wasn't bad?!? Seemed like I handled mine way better then you did yours."

You: I scoff.

Stranger: We sit back down and wait for our next battle. The contest moves through all the battles until the final round comes up and the two of us are standing on opposite ends of the battle field.

You: I smile. "You ready to go down in flames, Blake?"

Stranger: I smirk. "Only if I'm able to put out the flames when I burn you."

You: "Hitmonchan, Umbreon, go!"

Stranger: I smirk once again. "Glaceon, Infernpape by my side!!"

Stranger: "Ladies first."

You: "Umbreon, use Shadow Ball! Hitmonchan, use Mach Punch to speed it up!"

Stranger: Infernape counter with Mach Punch, Glaceon shoot your Ice Beam at Infernapes fist!!" Infernape's fist glows white as it shoots towards the oncoming shadow ball. Glaceon's Ice Beam surrounds the fist fusing together to form an Ice Mach Punch that sparkles as well as giving off power. Infernape makes contact with the Shadow ball redirecting it.

You: "Hitmonchan, use Vacuum Wave! Now Umbreon, bat the Shadow Ball back at them with Iron Tail!" Hitmonchan spins its fist and creates a vacuum, sucking in the Shadow Ball. Umbreon leaps up and swings her tail at the sphere.

Stranger: "Quick Glaceon jump in front of Infernape and Intercept with Mirror Coat!" Glaceon jumps in front of Infernape right when the Shadow ball was to make contact. Upon the impact a cloud of smoke arises. Suddenly through the cloud of smoke bright beams of light begin shooting out showing Glaceon glowing as it stands in front of Infernape the shadow, though shrunken a little bit, is still in perfect form floating in front of Glaceon.

You: "Hitmonchan, use Counter! Umbreon, use Dark Pulse on Hitmonchan to reflect it back at the others!"

Stranger: (I wasn't done with my attack missy :p) "Now send that Shadow Ball flying back toward them and Infernape use Fire Blast on the Shadow Ball!" The Shadow Ball since blocked by Mirror Coat is sent back with twice the power plus the added power from being wrapped in Infernapes Fire Blast.

You: (ik)

You: "Hitmonchan, quick, use Bullet Punch!"

Stranger: Some of the damage is blocked with the punches, but still some damage is taken. "Internape throw Glaceon at Umbreon and Glaceon you use the momentum into a full power Iron Tail!! Infernape Close Combat on Hitmonchan"

Stranger: (Its about time we went one on one ;) )

You: "Hitmonchan, counter with your Close Combat! Umbreon, take a running start and use Iron Tail too!"

Stranger: The two powerful close range physical attacks hit each other as both sides won't give an inch.

Stranger: "We have passed the 2 minute mark," the MC says over the speakers.

You: I look up at the scoreboard.

Stranger: The clock keeps ticking down as we approach 1:30 left

You: "Hitmonchan, before it reacts, use Mach Punch!"

Stranger: Counter with your Mach Punch Infernape!"

You: "Vacuum Wave!"

Stranger: "Quick dodge using Dig!!"

You: "Use Counter and hold onto it!"

Stranger: "Glaceon help him out. Knock Hitmonchan down using Iron Tail!"

You: "Umbreon, intercept with Shadow Ball!"

Stranger: (lets make it interesting and make it a one on one between Umbreon and Glaceon to the end)

You: (ok)

Stranger: "Quick Dodge it Glaceon!!" The Shadow Ball misses Glaceon and ends up hitting Hitmonchan. Unfortunately Infernape is caught in the cross fire and both fall down with swirls in their eyes knocked out.

You: I return Hitmonchan. "I'm sorry," I whisper to his Pokeball."

You: I look up with fire in my eyes. "Let's end this!"

Stranger: "My thoughts exactly. Quick Glaceon Blizzard!!"

You: "Umbreon, while it's occupied with Blizzard, use our secret weapon: HYPER BEAM!"

Stranger: Shocked expression on my face appears as I'm obviously caught off guard.

Stranger: "Quick Glaceon use Iron Tail to dodge it!" Glaceon just barely gets out of the way, getting grazed on one of her hind legs.

You: I growl slightly. Umbreon is useless for a few seconds more while she recharges

Stranger: "Come on Glaceon get up please I'm counting on you. I wouldn't ask you to do something I knew you couldn't do. Please push through it. Use Quick attack to get in close then Iron Tail while Umbreon Recharges."

You: "Umbreon, please hurry! Dodge and try to block with your own Iron Tail!"

Stranger: Glaceons Quick is what gives her the edge in this as the Iron Tail makes contact knocking Umbreon back. Glaceon lands on her feet wincing at the pain on her left hind leg the one that was hit by the Hyper Beam.

Stranger: "30 seconds are on the clock," the announcer declares.

You: Umbreon stands up tall as she finishes recharging.

Stranger: Both Pokemon are breathing heavily obviously feeling the toll that the battle is taking on them.

You: I wait strategically for Blake to make a move.

Stranger: "Come on think Blake think," I say to myself. "There's gotta be a way to beat her." "I got it!!!" I say to myself. "Quick Glaceon Use Ice Beam on yourself!!"

You: (wtf?! i had the perfect strategy and u ruined it! XD)

You: (what are you up to?)

Stranger: (You'll see ;) )

You: (wait. she's got an ability doesn't she?!)

You: (kind of like volt absorb or lightning rod or flash fire?!)

Stranger: (Snow Cloak ;) )

You: (KNEW IT)

Stranger: The Ice Beam comes down onto Glaceon as she absorbs the energy, afterwards having all its energy recharged. "Now Lets Finish this. Glaceon Use Blizzard!!"

You: "Alright Umbreon, this is the last chance. Give it all you've got! Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse to speed it up, hit it with Iron Tail, and while Glaceon is down, Hyper Beam!!!"

Stranger: (ok we both know they don't work that fast :p)

You: (?)

You: (its like she's expending all the energy she has left)

You: (if umbreon is really weak, she'll probably only manage to slap the shadow ball with iron tail and not make the hyper beam.)

You: (even if she does, glaceon has snow cloak so her evasion is increased. it's up to you now about the outcome.)

You: (although you'd probably win if i let you.)

Stranger: "Knock that Shadow ball out of the way with Iron Tail. Then use Mirror Coat on that Hyper Beam!!!"

Stranger: "It's over Silver!"

You: I become worried. "Do the best you can to block it!"

Stranger: As the Hyper Beam is blocked by Umbreon the timer sounds marking that time is up.

You: I look to the scoreboard to see who has more points.

Stranger: (You decide I'll have it where you win if you like)

You: (um ok. is this because i let glaceon be op)

Stranger: (??)

You: (to be even because i let you decide the outcome of umbreon's attack)

Stranger: "And the winner is........ Blake from Floaroma town!!!"

You: (WUT)

Stranger: (don't worry I got a plan where this is gonna go)

You: (ok lol)

You: I look up, wondering how I could have possibly lost.

Stranger: After all the festivities of handing out the ribbon and everything the two of us are walking back to the pokemon center.

You: I try my best to keep back tears as I clutch Umbreon's Pokeball.

Stranger: I look over seeing you're about to cry. "Hey Kiddo no need to cry you fought great out there." I reach up brushing away a tear.

You: "It's just, I tried so hard to win, and to think I subjected Umbreon to that just to lose.."

Stranger: Confused I ask you, "What do you mean?"

You: "The battles aren't just about winning. You have to train the Pokemon, but think about how the Pokemon feel. We put them through battles and they trust us to come out on top, but what if we don't? What if they felt all that pain just to lose the match?"

Stranger: "Hey cheer up. You'll get the next one. I won't even enter to give you a chance," I say nudging your shoulder.

You: I shake my head. "There might not even be a next one... I thought I might have been good enough but it's always you! You always win! You're so much better than me, no matter how hard I try, and I put Umbreon through battles that are futile."

Stranger: "Whoa whoa there kiddo slow down there. No need to give up just yet. I've been doing some thinking during my journey and I have something here that just might cheer you up."

You: I sniffle. "What?"

Stranger: I move my hand around in one of my bag pockets and I pull out the ribbon I had just won earlier at the contest.

You: "That's your Veilstone Ribbon.."

Stranger: "Yeah but I want you to have it."

You: "But you won it!"

Stranger: "That I did, but I don't need it. You can't use these to enter the Sinnoh League."

You: "But I thought your dream was to win every Grand Festival?"

Stranger: "It is, but I've been thinking. Gym Battles have been drawing my attention more and more and I decided to take on the Gym challenge here in the Sinnoh region as a change of pace."

You: "I.. Blake, you won this. I can't just take it."

Stranger: I take your hand forcing it open. I then proceed to place the ribbon in your hand closing it. "I won't take now for an answer."

You: I clutch the ribbon tight.

You: "Blake.." I blush furiously before shaking my head and kissing him on the cheek quickly.

You: (I DID IT! SO KAWAII)

Stranger: Shocked by her sudden action I touch the spot where your lips just were. A warm tingly feeling develops from that spot and I'm not sure why, but I kind of liked it. I blush a little bit as well.

You: "...Blake.. I've had a little bit of a crush on you since forever..'

Stranger: Knowing where this was going I grab your hand pulling you in close. "Oh just shut up and kiss me Silv." I lay my lips on yours taking your head in my hands as we just stand there kissing as the sun sets.

You: (omfg best scene ever. XD)

Stranger: (:P)

You: im going to copy this whole conversation and put it on wattpad and make it a book.

Stranger: lol why?

You: because its adorable.

Stranger: lol It was so sudden though

You: still kawaii

Stranger: I pull away from the kiss not quite sure what just possesed me, but not wanting this moment to end. I chuckle and then say, "Well I need a companion on this trip. It gets pretty lonely out there."

You: I smile. "Okay."

Stranger: (The narrator goes into his little shpiel talking about what happened in the episode and to stay tuned and blah blah blah and the the To be Continued.... flashes across just like in the animeXD)
