Distractions
I woke up in a really bad mood. I wasn't feeling very good mentally so I ended up laying in bed for way too long, wallowing in my bad thoughts.
Then I was like what good is laying here doing me? It wasn't going to help, was it?
So I decided to just do some things to help distract me. I put on a movie (Howl's Moving Castle if you were wondering), made myself a cup of tea, wrapped myself up in a blanket and did some colouring.
Yep, you read that right I did some colouring. You're probably thinking "what are they five or something?" but nope I'm not.
It's just calming. I was focusing on the movie and colouring rather than the bad thoughts in my head. Now I feel a lot better.
So the moral of this chapter is that sometimes it's okay to just take a day to yourself to do random things that make you happy. There's no shame in that because your mental health should be put first!
Yeah, look after yourselves.
