So I've noticed pretty much ALL werewolf books here on Wattpad are the alpha finding their mate to be an abused runt of the litter type person. Honestly it gets kind of boring to read the same plot over and over, just in different words and by different people. But I had an idea.

So maybe the alpha leader of a super powerful pack of werewolves gets overthrown by another shifter species? Like, a werecat or something? The werecats could be jealous of werewolves always getting the attention and keeping them hidden for centuries or something and overthrow him (or her) so they could finally be known again?

And the majority of the plot would be the alpha trying to get their throne back to try and save their pack. Now it could have a side plot where they find their mate and fall in love, but it wouldn't be the entire plot you know?

I dunno, it's just a suggestion. If you want to be different rather than writing what everyone else has already written.
