I/V/VI) New Book Awaits!
Hey, all!! This is the hundredth chapter of my first Randomness Book! So that means I'll be making a new one soon. I'm gonna ditch the codes, though. They just weren't useful after a while. I'm also very excited to be able to feature a different character on the cover. I love Rainy but it's time for someone new, and I chose him a handful of months ago. So here is the last compilation of random thoughts in this book:
So I finally finished watching Horimiya: The Missing Pieces. Sengoku misunderstanding Iura and very earnestly and sweetly rejecting his "feelings" is so endearingly in-character.
I genuinely believe every creative person should go through a phase where they unironically make the cringiest stuff imaginable. Honestly, the joy in that sort of thing is unparalleled, because you have the confidence to just create whatever you want. It's the most free period in a creator's life and probably the time where they're the most secure in what they're doing, too. So when someone says something like "OMG, I just read a fic where someone calls Y/N baka," I can't help but genuinely smile. Because that's a kid living their life to the fullest.
It's kind of wild that a cluster of long-standing female YouTubers are getting intense backlash for doing something extremely stupid all within the same few months. Like, holy crap. Blair (iilluminaughtii), Colleen (Miranda Sings), AND Lia (SSSniperwolf)? Sure, they were all crappy people to begin with and all of them gave me really bad vibes, but it's like everything suddenly exploded with each one out of nowhere. These people were all around for like... a decade?
Mild Total Drama World Tour Spoilers
I think I've just realized part of why Harold is one of my favorite original TD cast members (second only to Gwen). It's because he avoids the complete and utter character assassination that happens to almost every (important) original character. He pretty much never acts out of character or winds up flanderized. If anything, he feels more and more like a real person over time. Even though he got an early boot in World Tour, his Aftermath segments give him just as much personality.
Why does the word "contradistiction," even exist? Contrast can mean the exact same thing. I think sometimes people (especially academics) can get addicted to complexity.
Literally just... forgot one of my classes existed today. I only realized I had it ten minutes after it started, and since I was a twenty minute walk away, I decided to just not.
Men with black/dark blue hair that covers one eye are usually the ones with some of the best (and most depressing) arcs.
Dr. Stone Spoilers (Season 3 Episode 13)
Y'know, sometimes it's easy to forget just how important Kinro and Ginro would be to the rest of the cast. We've seen Chrome, Ruri, and Kohaku as children, so we obviously know they grew up together. But it's the exact same way for the guard brothers. Kohaku being so willing to let herself get petrified if it means saving Ginro's life, and even the way she looks at him with such emotion, made me realize that for the first time. Kinro and Ginro didn't only have each other; the other three were kids at the same time, so she must see him like a troublesome little brother. That also makes Ginro's attempts to matchmake Chrome and Ruri even sweeter; the dude has seen them pine for each other for YEARS.
Edit: Thinking back, even though Ginro's kind of a slimeball (my favorite kind of character lol), Kohaku was still more than willing to let him marry her sister if it meant saving her life. Obviously he's important to her.
BOTW/TOTK fans legitimately make some of the most gorgeous animation I've ever seen. They're awesome at choosing music, too. They just... that's peak atmosphere right there.
