Some Deltarune chapter 2 spoilers. I try to be vague and I also don't discuss too much of it, but just in case you care about that and you haven't seen/played Chapter 2 yet.

Why do I like Berdly so much?

I really really like him.

I think he may be up there for top character along with Ralsei even though he's literally such a fuckface all the time.

I think within the past few years, starting with, like, Leon and Kazuichi, I've grown to really like absolute rat men.

Like. I still love soft, good beans and shy guys who lack self confidence (and nerds. And flirts.)

But also... guys who, despite having mostly good intentions, just kind of really suck sometimes??? The simps, the cowards, the idiots who are condescending because they either think they're a genius or are pretending to be... y'know, those people you kiiiiiiiind of want to slap before giving a big comforting hug.

And now apparently Berdly (mostly post development but I can like him pre as well)

Okay but Keiji kins Berdly. Keiji is pretty cold and calculating in most games because he can generally recognize that they're just characters. But I feel like he'd try to do a Weird Route on Deltarune Chapter 2 and abort it multiple times because he doesn't want to SnowGrave Berdly. He did a neutral route just fine first and was looking forward to seeing some of the darker shit, but he can't make himself do it and it both pisses him off and depresses him.

I feel like someone caught him staring at the screen, utterly paralyzed and even sort of shaking a little before just sighing and aborting the route.

"You okay dude?"

"Thanks for asking. I'll be fine. Now please just leave me the fuck alone."

Berdly's motif fucking slaps and I've been listening to it for like the past forty minutes.
