In this au, the Radiance and the Nightmare King were sealed in the black egg temple. They manage to make up for past...issues and created something to destroy the kingdom the pale king wrongfully took from them

They created the Infection.

So the infected have little halos that are on fire with Oran eyes as usual

The Grimm Troupe is still a thing, except Grimm is a normal moth with black eyes. All members have little golden crowns made of dream essence and a Grimm Troupe charm (with the troupes symbol) out of nightmare essence

Infection au

Its what the name says! Everything and everyone is infected. The Radiance is still bound but the bindings will not hold. Ghost has come too late, and the inhabitants of Hallownest pay the price. Hornet tells you that you have failed your mission, and that you must do what you can to hold the radiance in

Who gets infected?
Myla: starts getting infected at the start, you hear her sing once and when you leave she goes into infection stages

Hornet: sentinal is changed to the infected protector, defeat her once nd you can go into her mind and beat the crap out of the infection. You can't go into the cast off shell without uninfecting her

Quirrel: during the uumuu fight he is infected and uumuu is godhome uumuu, quirrel will randomly slash at oomas, which isn't fun. After the battle you grab monomon's mask from him and can go into his mind and beat the infection

The Grimm Troupe

It gets a new ending: the infected end
This happens if you break all the dreamer seals before finishing the ritual, specifically before getting level 3 gc

2 new bosses: The Infceted Father (infected Grimm) and Dethroned King of Nightmares (infected nkg)

1 new miniboss: Infected Musician (Brumm)
You have to defeat the infected musician before destroying t e nightmare lantern, and you must uninfect brumm
