You break up with them because someone told you they were cheating and gave you proof they were. One year or so later, you have a new girlfriend/boyfriend. The person you broke up with a year ago contacts you and tells you that the person you are dating is cheating on you. You feel unlovable and become depressed.
This is supposed to be sad/cute.

Part 1. You find out they are cheating on you.
This includes Artemis and Quicksilver (xmen)
Artemis (Artemis)

I was going to the mountain to ask Artemis on a date tonight. We have been drifting apart, and she has been snapping at me a lot. I've tried not to get mad at her when she does, but it still hurts. I want to know what's going on.

As soon as I stepped into Mount Justice, I was whisked away into another room. I looked around, and noticed Wally standing there, looking sheepish.

"Wally?" I question.

"Look (Y/N), I don't think I can keep this a secret from you anymore," he said quickly. I narrowed my eyes, expecting the worse. I've always been a pessimist.

I crossed my arms and waited.

"Me and Artemis have been dating behind your back."

"Artemis and I," I corrected him before stomping out.

"Nice try, Wally. Artemis wouldn't do something like that. If she liked you she would just break up with me. She wouldn't do something like that..." I trailed off as I thought about how distant she's been with me. I turned around to Wally and he flinched.

"Would she?" I questioned? It all seemed to add up. She was snapping at me, she declined all my offers to go out, not talking to me as much.

He didn't answer, and I sank to the ground.

I rested my hands in my arms and tried not to cry. I thought she loved me. Wally set down next to me, and patted my back.

"I'm really sorry. I knew this was going to be a bad idea. Someone always gets hurt," he offered comfort. I wasn't mad at Wally at all. He told me, not Artemis. He comforted me, not Artemis. Wally seemed like a really good guy, no wonder the bitch was dating him.

"(Y/N)?" A female voice questioned. I looked up and saw Megan. The sight of her made me start crying for some reason. She hurried over and hug me. I cried into her shoulder.

"Does she know?" She asked Wally sternly.

"You knew that Artemis was cheating on me?" I cried.

"Everyone knew," she said. This only made me cry harder. Everyone knew and no one thought I should know.

"Get out of here," Megan hissed at Wally.

I heard him running away, and I stopped my tears. I pulled away from Megan with a hard look.

"I'm gonna go home," I said and stood up.

She let me walk away, and this made me feel worthless. I typed some random coordinates into the zeta-beam. I don't feel like coming back to this place. Singapore sounds goods. The zeta beam whirled to life.

I felt eyes on me, and turned my head. Artemis stared at me, a confused look on her face. She noticed my red eyes and I think that was when she knew I knew.

I walked into the zeta beam, not saying anything.

Quicksilver (Peter Maximoff)

"I think Peter is cheating on me," you said to your friend, Lainey, one day. You twirled your spaghetti around your fork.

"Why do you say that?" She asked.

"I was on his phone, and noticed he has a lot of girls on his phone. When I asked him about, he said they were all just friends..." I murmured.

"Well, lets go confront him!" She said excitedly. "You know, I've never really liked Peter."

"Not helping."

The plan was set. You would ask Peter the question, and Lainey would tell you if he was lying or not. Lainey's mutant power was basically rock-bending, and if someone was standing on the ground, she could detect someone's heartbeat. If it sped up, that meant the person was lying. She was basically Toph, except she wasn't blind.

"Peter!" You called as your boyfriend, maybe soon to be ex, zoomed past. He stopped, but kept looking to the left anxiously. You looked and saw a pair of twins, smiling and winking. Disgusted, you looked back at Peter.

"Peter, are you cheating on me?" You asked.

"What?" He said, not paying attention.

"Are you cheating on me?" You said more sternly.

"What? No, I wouldn't do that!" He ran off, and you turned around.

Lainey walked towards you, a sad look on her face.

"He was lying," she said as soon as you could hear her.

"He was lying straight through his teeth," she said while growling.

"Now I have a good reason to maul him!"

"Lainey," you warned.

She finally looked at you seriously.

"You're not crying?" She questioned.

You shook your head, sighing.

"Mutant ability, remember?"

"Oh yeah. The thing where you can hold off all feelings, emotions and pain? So badass," she walked towards you.

"But you're still a girl who just got cheated on, so don't hold it in too long. It's not healthy to do that."

She hugged you, and you hugged back.

"Peter may have cheated on me, but I still have the coolest best friend in the world."

She flinched. "Yeah, best friend..."
