Maintenance Log #87

These animatronics, no these things are alive. They tried to come after me when I was about to leave. I have been here for a week. When I went to resign after my first week, but they told me the contract I signed was good for THREE YEARS!

After another week I went to the Management Department but they told me the robots are supposed to walk around. It's supposed to help stretch their legs to prevent rusting in their joints. That doesn't explain why they came after me! When I told them that, they said that they must have thought I was a child. They were only trying to make me "Happy".

They have chased me, screamed at me and even tried to break the front door down. They smashed one of the glass doors. one of them tried to escape, but as soon as the sun hit the entrance it stopped and went back to the stage. It just stood their as if whatever they just tried to do didn't happen.

Maintenance workers came and fixed the door the next day. They asked how it broke, when I told them they laughed at me. Said it was impossible for the animatronic to break the glass since it was never programmed with that much force. After they left I went back to the main area and went to the stage labeled "PIRATE COVE". I pulled back the curtain and looked at the fox animatronic. It's fur matted and missing some pieces. It's cloths torn and hook dented from years of horrible maintenance. You could some missing pieces of its outer skeleton from years of kids pulling and playing on it. Dents and welded gashes scattered all over it. The one thing that caught my eye, was the glassy eye that seemed to be dull and lifeless. One thing that surprised me was the single tear streaming its way down its cold metal face.

The only words that left my mouth were "You were trying to escape this place weren't you" I said in a whisper.

The animatronic seemed to open its mouth and spoke...

"Yes..."

My eyes widened in shock and horror. It spoke to me... That's impossible

"We all were" It said a bit more clearly

I looked at the fox as he turned his head to look behind me. I turned around and saw the rest of the animatronics walking towards me with sad faces. They all looked at me apologetic.

"I'll help you escape, all of you" I said as I turned around and smiled at all of them.

Their faces lit up, they turned around and headed back to their respected stages. As the sun rose across the restaurant. I walked around smiling at the posters and drawings. Now to figure out why they want to get out so badly......
