The silent treatment

You and Tommy had been together for 2 years and he treated you nothing but a queen and sometimes you would object to it and other days you would just give in and deal with it without the arguments

You both rarely fought about anything unless Arthur or Finn wanted to have some entertainment from the both of you but it only lasted 10 minutes before one of them started laughing

But this week out of all the rest the Blinders and the world didn't have anything planned to put any stress on them, so you decided to test out an experiment on only one of the Blinders

How long can Tommy Shelby last without your attention?

Normally if Tommy had business to deal with you could understand if he didn't pay attention or talk to you on a daily basis but always made time for you but you wanted to test if he would go without it for a day

When the morning rolled around you normally get up when Tommy did but today you decided to get up before him and ran yourself a bath not bothering to wake him up since he needed the rest

After about 30 minutes you got out the bath and headed back into the main room to get dressed in your black slacks and white shirt since you didn't like the whole dress ordeal unless he took you somewhere fancy

"Princess why are you up so early?" He asked as he sat up and stretched but kept his eyes trained on you who was admiring yourself in the mirror not responding to him "Y/N?" He called and again was met with silence on your end

When you were done you walked downstairs, and he could hear you greeting all his brothers making him sigh as he flopped back down on his bed wondering what the fuck, he did wrong

After a while he took a bath and joined the boy's downstairs while having a smoke, but you didn't acknowledge him as you plated everyone breakfast but Tommy's since he went into the booky room straight away instead of the table

"hey Y/N wanna go out shopping today? If you and Tommy aren't doing anything" she asked as she was eating the breakfast you made them

"yeah, that's fine" you replied with a small smile ignoring the small comment that Tommy made since it was faint, and you assumed it was for John or Arthur so when he came back, he saw you and Ada continue your conversation about the shopping trip

"no Ada we have plans today so you can't just take her with you" Tommy replied sitting next to you after plating his food, but you ignored him and continued making Ada smirk as if he didn't exist which made the boys chuckle in the little dispute you both had but didn't add to the cause since they learnt not to be involved in your disputes after last time

After a few moments Ada wiped her hands on the nearby napkin and got up looking at you "ready?" she asked as she went to grab her jacket that was on the coat stand

"yeah, just finishing up" you replied before taking the final bite of your toast then stood up after wiping your hands, but Tommy pulled you back down onto his lap with his arm around your waist while his other hand was ready the booky papers that was next to him

After a few moments when his grip loosened slight you got up and took a few bits of Tommy's money before following Ada out the door and after some shopping you did some extra errands since you had a few bits to do today besides the shopping trip Ada sprung on you and Tommy wasn't happy about

A few hours later

You and Ada got back to the house dropping the clothes off, but Ada went to the Garrison while you stayed home and decided to do some cleaning since the boys didn't do any after breakfast this morning and when you were done and made sure the clothes were in the respected rooms you decided to head out and finish off your errands

As you were out and about you bumped into John and Finn making you greet them with a small smile on your face

"afternoon Y/N" John greeted "have you spoken to Tommy, yet he says he wanted to speak to you about something" he added as he put a toothpick into his mouth

"no, I haven't seen him sorry" you said with a small apologetic smile but as you saw Arthur and Tommy walk over you said your goodbye and continued to walk to the market for the daily shop, but you knew they were following you since you could hear Tommy's shoes not that far behind you

Despite Tommy being behind you following you like a lost puppy you still gave the marketeers some money since you didn't appreciate the fact you got stuff for free since you were dating a Blinder, and you could hear him making comments on what you were doing or buying but only answered them if John or Arthur repeated them making them laugh in response

"something funny boys?" you asked curiously as you looked at them with pure innocence making them smirk a bit

"no nothing" they replied with a slight cough and went back to being serious as Tommy glared at them knowing they were only fuelling your behaviour of ignoring him

"well, it must've been funny if you guys were laughing but if it's an inside joke ill understand" you responded, and they nodded as if it was an inside joke, so they live to see the next day despite being family

"so, Y/N what did Tommy do to make him get the silent treatment?" Arthur asked as he lit up a cigarette, but you gave him a confused look not understanding him despite knowing what he meant "you do know you're giving him the silent treatment don't you?" he added with confusion

"I would give him my attention for the whole day you know that" you replied holding back a laugh "but since he's busy today I won't give him any you know what he's like don't bother him when he's busy" you added despite he and his brothers had been following you for the past 30 minutes

"I will give you attention if you fecking talk to me" Tommy spoke out as you continued to walk as if he didn't say a word or just yelled at you

"I wonder if they have those strawberry tarts in today" you muttered absentmindedly as you walked into the bakery, but the boys stayed outside since they were having a smoke and not long after you came out with a few bags, but John took a few of the bags off of you since your hands started to get a bit full and almost dropped the meat that you had resting on your arm

"ready to go home?" Tommy asked but got the response of silence, so John asked the same question Tommy just did and you looked up at him with a thinking motion while Tommy stomped his foot annoyed as he went into a small circle on the spot

"I just need to go to a few more places but if you want to head home with them then you can I won't be long" you replied with a small smile, and they nodded while Arthur took the other bags you had and headed back home muttering stuff together as you headed onwards and Tommy followed but after a few moments he stopped you and trapped you against the wall with one hand by your waist and his elbow buy your head

"now you're going to tell me what I did, and I don't care if we stay here the whole fecking day" he spoke out as he looked you over while you looked up at him blankly but examined his face in silently admiring his features "guess were standing here all day then" he replied as he looked you over with a small, annoyed sigh

After a few moments he looked around himself for a bit before moving off the wall and went to put a cigarette in his mouth, but you decided to watch him for a bit before moving to walk down the street causing him to watch you annoyed but followed you nonetheless

"Y/N you can't do this all say you know" Tommy spoke out as he only got silence in return as you walked to the store to get a few things "we don't need that we have plenty of it at home" he commented as you picked up some of your favourite snacks ignoring him

When you were done you walked out and headed back to the house humming a small tune that you know he hated so he sighed annoyed when he realised what tune you were making

When it came to the going to bed you were already there before him and wore one of his shirts and some lingerie you got from the shopping trip you and Ada were on before going to bed just as he walked into the room

"ok princess this has to stop I don't know what the fuck I did to get this treatment so you either tell me or there will be consequences" he glared at you but you didn't look or acknowledge him as you picked up a random book to read

After a few moments of watching you he sighed annoyed and went to go have a bath trying to release some stress from today but as he shut the door but didn't lock it you smirked and let out a small chuckle "so pouty" you teased as you remained stoned face when he came back into the room for a towel as if what you did didn't happen

When he came out after half an hour he got dressed and went to bed but before he went to sleep he started lighting up a cigarette so after he was done rubbing it against his lips you took it out and put it on the bed holding back a small smirk as you watched him get a fresh on from the box and you repeated the motion while he gave you a 'bitch I swear' look on his face as he turned to you on the bed

"are you going to let me smoke?" he asked as he looking at you while shifting his body slightly to get a better look at you making you smile in response as you shook your head amused "bold of you to assume to have that choice" he replied as he got another one out but moved off the bed so he could light it and smirked at you when he played with the lit cigarette in his mouth in victory and returned back to the bed after collecting the ones that were lazily thrown on it

You smirked back in return as you moved to straddle his hips and leaned in for a kiss which lasted a few moments but when you pulled away from his lips you took the cigarette from his mouth and played with it in yours

"that's cute princess" he spoke out teasingly as he rested his hands on your hips feeling the lace underwear you had on making him smirk, but he took the cigarette off you and put it back in his mouth "so what's with the new underwear" he teased as he played with the fabric

"well, I thought it would be a nice reward for you since I have made a big bad boss upset so this would be my apology" you replied as you rolled your hips slightly against his slowly

"mm the only apology ill accept from you" he purred as he moved your hips against his more with one hand while the other put his cigarette out in the ashtray before focusing on you're the entire night

Yat first you thought you could ignore Tommy but after a while you knew you couldn't ignore him for long because after your 3-hour sexual session you were talking about each other's day as if today didn't happen
