I wrote this story based on the picture above and thought it would be fun if Bucky had the reader to help him

Now we all know the story of how Steve and Bucky and how they came to be but you ended up the same way as Bucky since you both fell off the train but you did it to try and save him and you both worked for HYDRA as the murder couple both fitted with Vibranium left arms

HYDRA used you both on whatever they needed you to do but when they didn't need either of your services anymore they decided to freeze you both until they did require them for whatever they needed to either gain success or to get rid of people who threatened their cause

When you and Bucky got back to you usual selves you lived in the tower together but at first Tony and the other guys didn't believe you and Bucky were dating so they put everyone in separate rooms making you move away from Bucky more than Steve was since they shared a room

"why can't I stay with Bucky again?" you asked as you were inquiring about the rooms we were assigned too

"well Bucky is strong and so is Steve so we thought it would be a best choice to put the only person to take him down when somethings wrong with him" Tony tried to reason

"so, you're saying a women can't be strong!" you shot back annoyed as you took a step forward but Bucky held you back by wrapping an arm around your waist and the other on your metal shoulder

"no but I'm just saying that it would be best" Tony tried to rationalize but you flipped him off before storming off to your assigned room a floor below everyone else

After a while Bucky started getting nightmares and so did you but Steve dealt with Bucky which by holding him close till he woke up and calmed himself down from the nightmare but they didn't stop and you were getting worried for Bucky and he was for you since you didn't look too healthy not that he was any better looking after the sleepless nights

When you and the rest of the avengers left to do the weekly shop and it was just Steve and Bucky in the tower doing whatever you came home a little early then the rest of them and saw Bucky asleep on the couch and Steve not that far from him reading a book but not that intently reading it as he was watching Bucky shift every so often for a nightmare

"go get me some coffee please he's having another nightmare" Steve spoke out softly making you shake your head as you set your bag down and took off your shoes and jacket before making your way to Bucky

"how about you go get me some blankets please preferably the black one from my room" you sassed back annoyed but didn't leave your side and you both heard Bucky mumble stuff in his sleep

"he's going to hurt you" Steve tries to defend you as he got closer to you

"considering we got put up with the same shit than you did capsicle I think I would be perfectly fine" you shot back as you glared at him before turning back to Bucky "hey babe open up" you whispered as you lightly rested a hand on his wrist moving it to open them up

After a few moments he moved his arm for you and you smiled and moved to lie next to him on the couch and curled into him and after a while he stop shuffling and held you close finally at peace and after a while you fell sleep with him

When you fell asleep Steve got you your blanket and pulled it over you both and watched you both since Steve could take you both down it may not be efficient but he could and he would be prepared and when the avengers came back you could hear Thor's booming voice as well as everyone else's so Steve quickly got up and told them to be quiet

"why?" Thor laughed as he slapped a hand on Steve's shoulder amusing

"because Bucky and Y/N has been asleep for an hour and I would rather you didn't wake them up or so help me god" he spoke out and everyone looked behind him and saw them both on the couch curled up into each other peacefully

"why not take them to bed?" Natasha asked curiously but quietly

"1 I can't pick them both up at the same time and 2 if I could do that I would be scared of waking them both up when they are finally having a good rest" Steve spoke out as they all quietly walked in and watched them

"I'm not letting them stay in a room together if that's what your implying Steve" Tony replied watching them on the couch reminding of what he did with pepper the other day in the malibu house

"just cause you can't get her doesn't mean that you can refuse her to share a room with the person she loves and has been dating for 70 years how would you feel if I did that to you and pepper if you lived in my house?" Steve asked with a glare

"I would just leave and go somewhere else" he shrugged before going to the bar

"and they could do the exact same but instead they are here under your roof" he glared as Steve sat down and watched you both before going back to his book and everyone did their own thing but kept quiet about it

You both stayed like that for 3 hours and neither one of you shuffled or moved from a nightmare and everyone but Tony was happy for them but Bucky woke up and looked down at you who was still asleep and ignored everyone else in the room and got up with you in his arms and picked up the blanket along with them and walked to his room and continued to sleep there

For the past few weeks, it had been the same for sleepless nights and Tony not letting them stay in the same room but Bucky moved all his stuff to yours and both stayed there regardless of what Tony says but Steve moved his room with the help of you two across from theirs so if you both needed help he was there for you both but that was rare
