In this world when you hit the age of 10 you naturally would see black and white till you see your soulmate

Some people would naturally accept them at first since it's their one true love and it can't be changed as much as some people wish it to be different due to them finding their soulmate in the grey colors.

As you grew up under Bucky's supervision, you met his friends and their families, except for Loki who had been in prison at the time. You got along with everyone almost, the only exception being Tony since he usually dictated how Bucky raised you. You never listened to him anyway though, so it wasn't like you hated him.

When it came to your 18th birthday bucky decided to make the place special by doing everything you liked while also checking up on your colors so when you got up this morning and went to the kitchen the chorus of 'happy birthdays' were from everyone

"So, what's on the breakfast menu?" You asked amused sitting down.

"Bacon pancakes for you and me but everyone else wanted the usual" bucky announced as he started putting the batter in the pan.

"Mm sounds delicious" you chuckled a bit.

"So, any color yet princess?" He asked casually as he set the plates for everyone else on the table humming.

"No, not yet but I'm not worried I don't need a man to be by my side to live my life" I spoke with a shrug.

"Damn straight" Natasha spoke as we high fived each other with a grin.

"I know you can live without a man I'm just asking" he chuckled amused.

"And I'm making you aware every time you ask" you laughed watching him before slowly getting up and stole a bit of bacon.

"Hey, I saw that thief" bucky playfully scolded while the other avengers watched in amusement.

"I didn't see anything bucky" Steve chuckled.

"See you can't prove anything" you spoke out with a mouthful of the bacon.

"Your stuffed mouth says another" he spoke as he squeezed your cheeks lightly with his metal hand causing you to jerk back causing him to frown a bit concerned.

"That's cold don't do that" you spoke through the mouthful while trying not to laugh but the others and bucky did for me but once I finished the bacon, I laughed a bit.

"Then don't steal the bacon" he joked plating up the pancakes.

"Well don't make them easier to steal and tempting as hell and maybe I wouldn't have had to steal them" you shot back amused as you sat back down.

After a few hours

When you had finished breakfast and it was almost lunchtime you sat in the quiet corner of the lounge reading a book blocking out most of what the avengers were doing since they were loud but the sound of the Bifrost always got my attention

You sat up a bit and looked at where the portal was because it always amazed you no matter how many times you saw it.

Instead of going back to your book, you stayed to greet Thor but once you saw his company you froze once you started to see the color flow back into the world.

Loki realized this as well and looked around in curiosity till he saw you, so he did his casual smirk and spoke in an almost sultry voice.

"Hello princess im-" he spoke but got cut off and frowned slightly when I raised my hands in the air throwing my book back onto the couch, but it bounced off and made a thud on the floor when it made contact.

"Nope nope nope nu-uh nope" you repeated as you walked out of the room "Nopeity nopity noooo nu-uh" you continued as you got into the hallway to your room.

"Well reindeer games she doesn't like you and this is the first time she met you" tony laughed.

"But I hardly said anything I didn't even introduce myself" Loki spoke in shock and disbelief.

"You don't have to I made sure she knew a lot about you before she met you" bucky smirked amused.

"That's a bit unfair cause she would already hate me then if that's the case," Loki said annoyed before sighing slightly.

"Sorry brother but it's how things go" Thor spoke patting his shoulder while bucky went to check up on you hiding the proud smirk on his face.

"Fine" he sighed defeated but annoyed before moving to where the library part was and investigated the book you were just reading.

Meanwhile in your room

When you got to your room you went quiet and tried to evaluate what just happened before you heard a knock on the door

"Leave me alone" I muttered as you sat on your bed.

"It's your dad Y/N open up" bucky spoke out with a chuckle causing you to take a deep breath before opening the door.

"So, Loki huh never would've expected that" he chuckled as he joined you on the bed when you sat back down on it.

"But you said he was a bad guy and I'm not allowed to date Villains" you replied after a while.

Bucky sighed running his hand through his hair "I guess he has to be an exception due to him being your-" he spoke but you cut him off before he could finish.

"Don't say it I don't wanna hear it I know" you spoke slightly annoyed "I know" I repeated quite than last time.

"You're going to have to talk to him at some point to get to know him" he spoke out grinning.

"I already know a lot from what you and Thor told me so what more do I need to know?" I asked confused but chuckled anyway which made bucky laugh.

"Yes, but there are things we don't know from him that he might only tell you" He chuckled amused.

"Why would I want to know that type of stuff?" I asked even more confused as the room went silent.

"Pass next question but it's lunch so let's sneak out and go out for food" bucky spoke patting your shoulder a bit causing me to laugh as we headed out but got caught by Steve when we got to the elevator.

"Steve join us," I said almost cult-like holding my hand out while he stood there debating it for a bit before joining us in the elevator but after a few moments of silence Steve broke it.

"So where are we going?" He asked causing me and bucky to laugh.

"For lunch taco bell my birthday my rules" I laughed a bit causing him to nod agreeing with our choice as we exited the elevator into the garage and took one of Tony's sports cars and drove to the nearest taco bell.

Timeskip to dinner

When dinner had been made I stayed in the living room while everyone else was heading to the kitchen

"Aren't, you are coming Y/N?" Steve asked watching you when he walked past.

"Nah I'm good I want to finish this book" I smiled a bit as I went back to my book.

"But it will get cold" he added walking back and stood by the entrance.

"Oh well" I shrugged relaxing more into the small couch I was sitting on.

"Ok well I'll tell bucky" he spoke before walking off to the kitchen.

"Where's Y/N?" Bucky asked but before Steve could answer I took the plate and cutlery off bucky and kissed his cheek as thanks before leaving.

"Ok there's not liking me and then theirs this" Loki shook his head again as he ate.

"You took my seat from me what do you want me to do? Sit on the floor? And strain my neck to look and talk to everyone" I asked poking my head through glaring at him who sat there silently before leaving to the living room.

"That's what I thought!" I yelled so he could hear before the faint door of the lounge was heard closing.

"Well then..." bucky said after a bit.

"Is anyone going to join her?" Steve asked after a moment of silence before J.A.R.V.I.S spoke up.

"Miss Barnes is trying to access the gaming system on the tv is she allowed permission mister stark?" J.A.R.V.I.S spoke out.

"Allow her access but if she breaks a controller or beats my high score deny it" tony spoke out.

"Yes sir" J.A.R.V.I.S replied before going silent and went back to observing you in the living room.
