You had met the game grumps when your brother Jacksepticeye had invited you to come to one of their parties which is where you met the grumps but you had yet to meet Ross but as you heard from all the grumps is that he was a nice guy but he was a sadist when it came to Mario maker

After that party you and Dan started to date and he made sure that you stayed away from Ross at all costs not because he didn't want you to get along with him he just didn't want to subject you with one of his many torture levels

Now keep in mind that despite your brother being a massive youtuber you were a lot of a bigger gamer than he was since you did let's play of all sorts of games while he picked and chose what he wanted to play as well as having your own vlog channel but Dan, Arin and Brian kept that a secret from everyone in the space since Jack didn't want you to have drama but they know you never played Mario maker but played every other version of a Mario game you just hadn't gotten around to that one yet but you were getting there

So, one day when you walked into the grump space since Dan and Arin called you in to help with a power hour you walked into the studio with the sense of annoyance and wanting to kill someone so as you looked around you couldn't find anyone but you saw Ross standing at the end of the hallway as if he just left a room and got caught doing something but recovered when he saw someone

"you must be Ross? Hi, I'm Y/N" you smiled walking towards him and held you hand out which he smiled slightly mischievously and shook your hand

"nice to finally meet you, you must be Dan's girlfriend" he replied as you nodded in return with a warm smile making him smile back in return

"speaking of Dan where is he?" you asked curiously and he shrugged in response as he looked around the rooms that he had around him too

"probably somewhere trying to plan my death" he shrugged calmly as he went to face back to you with an awkward smile

"did you ask him to play one your levels again?" you asked after a bit and he nodded with a now evil grin on his face probably replaying the torture he had them go through in his head

"would you like to play one?" he asked curiously but intrigued if you could do the challenge

"I'm not really a gamer...so I don't think I would be any good" you lied with an awkward chuckle as you took a few steps back from him but before Ross could speak again you both heard from behind you

"Ross don't you dare make her do that torture" Dan spoke out as he pointed to him but you turned to face him with a happy smile on your face when you saw he had the whole grump space behind him to back him up or most likely to see why he dashed out of the room you assumed the latter

"I simply asked her she has the right to refuse since she is not a grump" Ross replied with his hands raised in defense

"how about this so where both happy..." you spoke looking between the both of them "since I haven't played Mario maker before I get one test run on an easy level to get to know the controls and then I get three tries on the level I choose to do" you tried to compromise

"babe it is torture I wouldn't want you to go through with that" Dan tried to detour you from making this decision

"if I don't do it in 3 tries then I will do one thing for you that doesn't exceed my boundaries but I if I do Arin and Dan get to slap you 3 times in the face whenever they want" you finished looking back to Ross who smirked at the punishments

"you think you could do MY LEVEL in 3 tries?" he questioned with a dark chuckle

"it can't be that hard and besides I think the results are fair" you replied with a small smile and Ross nodded as he lead you to the grump space and started setting up the recording

Unknown to the game grumps is that you had played Mario maker before you turned up to the grump space since you were doing recordings of the story line and then some for the 100 Mario challenge for your fans and a few of Ross's levels were on them challenges so you knew what you were up against

After you did your trail runs and did a few easy levels to make sure you had the controls down which Ross didn't mind since he needed to know that you knew how to play the game but every grump were behind you so when Ross says that everything is ready to start your actual run you turned to the camera

"hi lovely grump and not so grump audience my name is Y/N and no I'm not your newest grump or not so grump addition to the team I am merely here to give Arin and Dan the revenge they deserve on Ross and keep in mind if you had watched my videos I have not seen the boys or anyone play this level, this is my first time playing this game and it would be one of Ross's levels go figure" you explained but Dan sat next to you in his massive starbomb blanket

"I have tried to talk her out of it but she has been adamant to do this" Dan spoke out as he looked between you and the camera every so often with a concerned look

"the reason this is recorded with no cuts and no splits in between is to show that I am not cheating or that I'm conning out this little deal I had made with Ross and with every grump here will be a witness to this madness" you added as you chuckled a bit at Dan getting comfortable next to you as well as Ross sitting next to you on the other side handing you the controller with his listings of levels up

"Dan and Arin had problems with the 'buckwild' and 'companion spring' but you choose what you want to do" Ross spoke out as he looked at you with a smile on his face knowing you wouldn't be able to do it

"what do you recommend?" you asked Dan and he was not happy with you doing this but he opted you to do 'buckwild' making you nod with a small hum as you went to that level and looked at the preview making you tilt your head a bit at his idea plan but shrugged away and started the level

"enjoy" Ross grinned which earned a glare from Dan and Arin that were either side of him

"so, 3 tries yes?" you spoke out and he nodded "need a verbal answer for the lovely audience" you added with a smirk as you motioned to the camera with an added chuckle

"yes Y/N 3 tries and you fail" he spoke out with a chuckle making you chuckle in response too as you picked up the controller that was set beside you and started to play

"the deal was that we get to slap Ross 3 times each in the face if she can do the levels if she can't do it in 3 tries then she has to do something for him" Arin explained as you were getting comfortable on the couch in front of him

At first you got nervous by how much was on the screen but as you continued to play the level you bit your lip in mild annoyance knowing if you voiced it, it would give him satisfaction but as you continued the level you hadn't gotten hit yet and you had yet to die and so after 20 minutes you had finished the level making people look at you in pure amazement and shock

"If you would like to sweeten the pot and double the amount we agreed upon and do 'companion spring' with the same amount of the lives in total" you smirked turning to Ross as if he gave you the easiest level in existence

"and in return in would be 2 not one?" he asked still shocked only to hide the fact that you didn't rage or get angry at the level itself

"of course, and don't need to repeat it as it is being recorded and we have a shit ton of witnesses" you added with a small chuckle as you motioned to everyone in the room who looked at you as if you just did the impossible "onto 'companion spring' let's see if this is difficult" you chuckled as you went to find it and pressed it

"this one is hard Y/N" Arin spoke out as rested a hand on your shoulder trying to persuade you to not do it and Dan did the same with his blanket covered hand

"it's fine don't worry about it" you chuckled as you looked up at him before looking at the preview that it shows before pressing play and took a breath before playing it and about halfway through you ran you hand through your hair as if it was in the way but it was a habit you had and Dan knew about it since he saw you more than the rest did

"getting scared Y/N? think you're going to lose this?" Ross smirked making you pause the game and flex your hands since you were getting cramps from holding the controller in a certain way

"despite making my hand get cramps no I don't think I'm going to lose this nor get scared of a game what is this resident evil?" you chuckled as you looked at him with a small 'wtf' motion before going back to the same

"you will slip and die and it would be glorious to see you curl over in mass rage and anger" he smirked but kept his eye on the game but after a few moments Dan eyed you weirdly before leaning in and heard you muttering the song 'cool patrol' making him laugh knowing how your concentrating on the game

"what's funny Dan?" Suzie asked making him laugh more

"nothing it's just I find it amusing how easy she can piss off Ross even if he's not showing it" Dan smirked as you eyed in the corner of your eye knowing he covered for your muttering but after a few moments you finished the level in victory

"so that's 6 each for them that's great" you teased as you eyed Ross in the corner of your eye as you saw him twitch slightly trying to hide his annoyance

"let's try 'be fast' and see if you beat that one" he spoke out as he took the controller off of you and went to that level and he didn't even let you see the preview properly thinking that was making you win easily

Once it was loaded up he gave you the controller and you started playing but since you had already played this one you knew that when you got to the note blocks there was a door at the top of those so you kept working on it till you got to a vine and went through the door that was an automatic win for you making you laugh as he rage quitted and left the room

"well, I guess that's the end of that" you laughed as you watched the door then everyone else "would that be 9 or 12?" you asked them since it would have to be calculated properly for the end result

"let's say 9 because 12 would probably kill Ross" Brian chuckled as he watched you before you all ended the video and Barry turned off the camera and everything else and went to sort the video out

"is it for you or the game grumps?" Barry asked when he back tracked into the room and peeped his head through the door

"both but don't edit the video down just leave it as it is since I don't want people to think that I have cheated or anything" you spoke out after a bit and he nodded "and don't upload it on the grumps until I've uploaded it on my channel I'll let you know when that happens though" you added making him nod again as he went to make it a digital file for you

"be honest have you tried his levels before?" Dan asked as you chuckled a bit

"no honestly I haven't and I honestly haven't seen your playthrough of his levels either the only one I've played before was the fast one and that's it" you spoke as you turned to face Dan with a small smile

"your lying I don't believe you" Arin spoke out as he stood up straight since he started to lean on the couch when Barry left and everyone else but Dan looked at you with the same look not believing you

"I played a bit before I left but that was the main storyline and a 100 Mario challenge but people have sent me codes to play certain levels for them since I said I might start playing it but nope haven't played any of his levels till today and they were...frustrating..." you spoke out but muttered the last word quietly to Dan but you Arin heard him too both incase Ross heard you both but you knew everything was turned off and he left in a huff

"I know they are you should see how much we raged on the levels it was annoying" Arin huffed out as everyone else in the room started to empty and it was just Dan and Arin in the room with you talking about Ross's levels and how much it was to record without breaking something

After an hour they realized they had a power hour to do and we ended up doing a few of those which lasted a few hours too long but it made for good content and when they were done for the day you and Dan headed home while Arin wanted to wait for Susie since she was busy doing some stuff and when you both walked past Ross's office you could hear him mutter about making a really hard level specifically for you making you chuckle quietly

"I'll look forward to it Ross..." you spoke out with a small chuckle as you both left the building

"yeah and you'll break a controller or monitor at home and we won't be able to see it which would be a shame" Dan spoke out with a laugh as they headed to their car

"sure, it would but I would come here and share my hatred with you and Arin with how sadistic he is" you replied as you both got into the car and enjoy the rest of the day which would mean you would sit on the couch and edit your videos while he plays games despite probably doing that since this morning before the power hour
