Imagine being new to the BAU as Hotch's assistant and meeting Spencer since he was there before the rest of the team came in

You had applied to the BAU since you were freshly done with the university with your Law degree and finished the police training that you did on the side of your course but you applied for an assistant job to start with and soon they might promote to be on the team but you were rushing into it

When you had gotten dressed after taking a nice hot shower and made sure that you looked professionally before you headed over to the BAU office.

When you got there you went upstairs nervously walking around not knowing where his office was so you looked around to find someone soon finding a tall skinny guy with crisp navy blue suit pants with a white suit shirt a brown knitted sweater

"Hi, would you be able to help me...?" I asked quietly slowly walking over to him

"Sure what do you need help with miss?" He asked softly as he picked up his coffee mug slowly stirring it

"I'm looking for Hotch's office I have an interview," I said quietly still nervous about the interview itself since I didn't know if you would get in or not

"Yeah I'll show you," he said with a small smile as he finished making his coffee before directing you to where his office was just as everyone else started to come in from the elevator and watch Reid walk somewhere with you following him

"Who's the cutie with Reid?" Morgan asked as he nudged Garcia to look since she has been trying to get Reid, someone

"Omg she is cute maybe shes a new member of the team," she said with a small grin

"That's Hotch's new assistant since I have fully joined the team of the profilers" JJ spoke as she walked over with her coffee and slowly sipped it

"Will she be starting today?" Morgan asked which in turn caused JJ to shrug before going to her desk but was intrigued to so she watched from her desk

Meanwhile, you and Reid stood by the door of his office waiting for him and started to talk about random things while we waited but it wasn't long before Hotch came and started the interview.

Reid said his goodbye after Hotch told him that he could go but thanked him for taking you to his office before he went to his desk with a small smile but got soon interrupted by morgan

"So golden boy who's the newbie?" He teased

"She says she's having an interview for Hotch's assistant job and we just talked" he shrugged as he started sorting the small number of files he had on his desk

"Did this possible assistant have a name?" He grinned playfully

"She said her name is Harley Winters," he said casually with a small shrug

"So why were you talking to her for so long?" He replied teasingly nudging his shoulder playfully

"She was nervous I was calming her down interesting facts which she calmed her down but she got nervous again when she saw Hotch" Reid spoke as he turned to look at him with a slight smile

"So when are you gonna ask her out?" Garcia asked as she leaned against the desk behind Reid amused

"Why would I ask her out I just met her and the workplace states you can't date someone who you work with," he said matter factly while also listing other things you cant do in the workplace which made morgan groan and walk off as well as Garcia and Emily

Everyone watched Hotch's office more curiously when he saw Rossi walk into the office while Hotch left not that long after ordering his team to the meeting room for a mission

"So Hotch is that cutie gonna be your new assistant?" Morgan asked

"She seems more suitable than the other people I have talked to so I think so" he spoke out in a monotone voice before starting the briefing

Halfway through the meeting you and Rossi left Hotch's office and walked you to the elevator then went to the meeting to catch up on the mission

A few weeks later

You had gotten the job and worked with Hotch and his team but had gotten closer to Reid mostly because Hotch thought that it would be best to stick with him when he went out to check the most or talk to the witnesses

You had gotten closer to Reid through the time you had been working there and he took up the courage to ask you out which was the cutest thing since he kept fumbling over his words or messing up the small plan he had situated in his head but you slowly stopped him by resting your hand on his

"Reid stop" I chuckled a bit making him give you a small puppy dog look

"I know what you mean and I'll go on a date with you Hotch said it was allowed as long as we kept it low key," I said quietly shyly pecking his cheek before I left to grab them a case for today

"Well done golden boy" morgan teased patting his back causing Reid to step forward a bit

"Uh...thanks" he smiled a bit as he watches you go

"And he's in dreamland it is cute" morgan teased causing Reid to blush a bit before going back to his desk and plan the date

The date had to wait a few weeks due to the team having a mission but when it did happen he took you on a nice walk around the park at night while he took you to a nice simple restaurant
