You and Charles had met in freshman year in school, you were a new student in the school since you moved in from a different state but after a few days you didn't make any friends but connected with Charles since you helped him by standing up to the bullies for him.

You didn't know why you did what you did but you didn't like watching helpless people suffer but after that incident you both became inseparable and with how you acted towards him people thought you were dating due to you both hanging out a lot and how close you both sat next to each other, but no one said anything about it since they didn't care about us unless they needed something from us.

As the years went on in school Charles built up courage and started to protect you from certain girls who made you feel different by mocking your body and or the way you dressed but you never noticed that they never came back to school because you didn't want to be near anyone but Charles and since other people kept saying they either moved or left school completely but police soon found their bodies a few weeks later (got to add early stage psychopath in there haha)

12 years later

You had kept in touch with Charles and hung out every so often but with as little or a lot of time spent together you fell in love with him more but today wasn't like any other day to hang out with him considering he has asked you to dress up nice and meet him at a certain fancy restaurant.

When he asked you the invitation you got nervous about what to wear and or wanting to cancel just from feeling that alone but while you were looking for clothes to wear your friend from college showed you what they were wearing for their date and after a few moments you realize that today was date night for all couples, but you tried to keep your cool for the date to not go wrong.

After sitting in your room in your house looking at the wardrobe full of clothes still not knowing what to wear while your friends were sorting out what would be cute and or flirty

"Guys I don't think it will matter" you muttered after a bit watching them both trying to find something.

"It will matter it always matters on date nights don't you understand?" your friend spoke out watching you before finding something cute.

"That's not really my style for first dates..." You muttered looking at it since to you the shirt and pants didn't match.

"It's for one night so suck it up" she huffed as they gave you it and walked out but after a while you walked over to the mirror to look yourself over to see if it was ok just as they came back in

"Told you it was perfect now you're going to wear it for your date and be happy about it."

"I am happy about the date just nervous about how it's going to turn out that's all" you muttered playing with your shirt nervously but took a deep breath and started to head out for the date.

45 minutes later

You had gotten a lift to the restaurant and saw Charles standing outside in black jeans and a red plaid button up waiting for you making you smile shyly as you got out and paid for the taxi before slowly walking over to him.

"Hi Charles, you dress up nicely" you chuckled shyly as you looked him over.

"And you look so beautiful" he smiled with a soft blush formed on his face before he held out his hand for you to hold and you gladly took before heading inside taking you to the table that he had reserved for them.

Once you sat down after Charles had pulled the chair out for you and pushed it in while you kindly thanked him for before he took the seat across from you smiling

"This is really fancy chuck I don't deserve this" you spoke quietly as you looked around shyly before meeting his gaze again.

"You do deserve this" he spoke softly as he smiled at you loving before they started to look through the menu while you did the same.

30 minutes later you and Charles got halfway through dinner cracking small jokes about the people around them but for him he got slightly nervous on what he wanted to do since it was a 'now or never situation' so he fixed his shirt slightly to try and calm himself.

"You still look smartly dressed no matter how you fix it" you chuckled amused watching him.

"Hey, you know how hard it is to crease these shirts" he laughed after a bit "I had to iron it twice before it was crease free" he added with an amused smile.

"You know how to iron I thought all men were useless when it came to stuff like that" you teased with a small clap as if to congratulate him on a worldly task (not discriminating because I know men can do stuff like this and women can do men stuff too)

"Well, everything I do, I do it for only you" he spoke with a soft smile while his hands under the table were fidgeting so that he could try and hide his nervousness from you, so he tried not to make it obvious but somehow you did.

"You don't need to be nervous Chucky no one is going to judge us" you chuckled softly as you sent him a warming smile.

"Er no... I'm nervous about something else" he smiled weakly as he looked down a bit before meeting your gaze again.

"What are you nervous about then?" You asked softly as you rested a hand on his when he brought it to the table.

"I brought you out here because I wanted to tell you something and I will completely understand if you don't feel the same but..." He started out raising his free hand defence since he didn't want to remove your hand since it was helping him.

"But what because I don't have Nemo here to help me" you chuckled amused to try and ease the tension which made him chuckle.

"But I wanted to tell you that I love you and I have since the day you helped me from the bullies back in school and I have protected you ever since then" he confessed blushing as he looked down.

You looked at him shocked at the sudden confession thinking that all this time he didn't share anything to you, and it was all one sided but when the shock wore down you leaned over and rested a hand on his with a soft smile.

"I love you too Charles but I few weeks after you did" you chuckled amused "it was when you stood up for me when the girls started mocking my outfit" you spoke after a few moments of silence which made him grin.

"Really?!" He asked shocked and a little bit loud causing people to look at them which made you both blush embarrassed as you mutter small apologies at them.

"Yes, really I tried to show you at first for my love, but you were oblivious, and I probably was the same for your attempts on me" I added quietly with a small chuckle which he joined in after.

"So will you be my girlfriend?" He asked amused even though he knew what the answer would be some girls wouldn't class it until they actual ask the question (I know some girls who is like that)

"Of course I'll be your girlfriend if you'll be my boyfriend" you grinned happily but before you could continue the conversation he got excitedly and on a pure high he left the restaurant leaving you speechless and shocked at the sudden motion but he paid for the meal on his way out but also left enough so you could have dessert too if you wanted it

Sorry for the long wait as I stated at the top I wanted it for Halloween but I might do something different if I have a good idea for it haha
