(Evan and shadow again-)

No one P.O.V

The Fox demon was conflicted. Beside him sat a four eyed demon who had brought him so much pain and suffering in his life, Someone he was supposed to hate for all eternity. Yet here that same person sat, gazing at the beautiful night sky next to him, their expression showing anything but malice.

Just..pure...joy and innocence.

How could a demon who gave him insomnia and made him constantly think about the death of his mother, Be so Innocent and pure? It didn't make sense and was beginning to make his head hurt.

"Evan? Are you alright?" The voice of the demon next to him spoke innocently, a warm and kind tone inside their voice, only making the other flinch more and feel worse then he already did.

"No...I'm fine Shadow..just have a headache.." he mumbled out, Not wanting to look into the going lanterns that the demon had for eyes.

Evan knew that the piercing glowing gaze that he could feel from behind him was filled with Warmth,Kindness and love. He had seen it In the time to two spent together. At first he never paid attention to that sort of thing and always ignored it, but slowly he had come to realize just how the demon had been looking at him.

It confused him to no end, and looking into the gaze of the demon would only make him feel worse about how he treated the man. He was always so rude to him, even when the demon was nice and did sweet things for him.

Matter of fact, why did he even do that in the first place? He was supposed to hurt him for crying out loud! Was he tricking him? Was he trying to make Evan fall in love with him only to break his heart? Was this a trap? Was he trying to make Him lower his guard so he could attack him? All these questions raced through his mind, making him frown at how much he was worrying over things.

Four golden eyes watched this conflict go down inside the other and it saddened them. Shadow hated hurting Evan, and hates how much Evan constantly thinks bad things about him like this. He knew he deserved it though, but it still made him want to curl up and cry.

He just wanted to make his parents proud of him, but at this rate he wasn't really sure It was completely worth it, His parents were never proud of him but did that really matter?

Shadow was conflicted on how to feel about it all. Should he go with what his heart told him to do and pursue his crush on Evan, or work to make his parents proud by becoming a monster like they were?

It hurt to think about so Shadow tried to push it out of his mind, laying down and staring at just the stars. "Hey...look! A shooting star..!" He pointed at the sky as a star whizzed by.

This gentle and excited tone made Evan look at the sky, distracted from his thoughts. "Your supposed to make a wish right Evan?" Shadow asked with a large giddy smile.

"Yeah...yeah you do.." Evan said, looking away from the sky to look back at the green grass they layed on. He remembered how shadow was trying to learn about earth and human things and that was something he was teaching him about.

Shadow smiled and made his wish quietly to himself, closing his eyes tight as he did. As he looked back to Evan, he smiled at him warmly. He made his choice, and hopefully his wish would come true.
