Passing on But Not Gone
No one P.O.V
A young cub stood By his father's bedside, His mother Standing beside him. Her hand gently gripped his shoulder for a moment before she walked outside the room, Her head leaned against the closed wooden door.
The cub didn't spare a glance towards her even though he had acknowledged her presence in the room.
His beady red eyes never once left his father's still form.
His ears twitched as he listened to the older Man take his raspy last breaths, awaiting the one that would be the final rasp to leave his lungs.
"Come here..." his father...or ward as he called him would Slowly open his palm, letting his fingers unfold in direction of the cub.
Red claws gently overlap with the old man's boney fingers, clasping them softly without hurting the other.
His ward would sit up, Bringing his mouth close to the small cub's ears.
A few sentences were uttered into the child's ear but no one except the two in the room could barely hear the words that were spoken.
Bloodbear eventually moved away from the man who fell back on his bed, staring at him without any expression.
His red tiny pinpricks merely locked onto the man's chest.
5 minutes passed and the man's arm fell beside the bed, Now limp without life inside the dim lit room.
The black and red cub slowly walked over to the man's still body, watching as a glowing red orb left the man's chest.
Just the sight of it...
Made him rather hungry..
His claws reached and stretched out towards the warmth of the Delicious orb, His ever so small pin pricks shrinking even smaller some how....and he found himself beginning to drool.
His stomach was pained with hunger and he found himself in a trance of the glowing light.
But something stopped him, and he lowered his arm as he began to realize what he had almost done.
Bloodbear gently grapped the necklace From his father's bedside table, Fiddling with the dark ruby red beads that lay in his palm.
Soon the beads were clasped around his neck, The Larger And paler red orb snapping shut with a gentle 'click' that broke the silence of the room.
Bloodbear would Rub the red glowing spot that showed where the soul of his ward lay inside thoughtfully.
He tapped it gently before Dropping it and letting it hit his chest once again.
Once that was complete he left the room, Not once looking back.
His mother rubbed his head gently between the ears and patted him gently. "enterremos a tu padre..."
A pale red ghost watched His son happily, His arms Layed on his lap. He watched His bear child be tackled by a fox like figure who landed on the other's back.
His son would roar happily at the fugure on his back, turning Around and seeming to play a fake game of chase.
Was it immature? Sure..
But was he absoutely happy seeing this? ....most definitely
This all brought a smile to the ghosts face as he continued to watch the large bear play.
"I may be dead but not gone.."
