Welcome to the last prompt! 

After hours of weeping and gasping and basking in the story-high @LynnS13 and I got from your tales, we've picked who'll go onto the last part. It was hard to do, all the stories we read were glorious, but (to badly quote Highlander) in the end there can be only one.

Prompt 5 (last one)- An orphan most of your life, you felt blessed when you were adopted by an eccentric old lady at the age of 17.

Growing up in an over-crowded orphanage, you were overwhelmed the first time the old lady's chauffeur drove you up to the villa on the hill in a vintage Jaguar. The house was at least thirty minutes from anyone else, surrounded by a lovely, yet somewhat odd garden. Tall trees graced the land, marble statues of cupids, princes and muses watched with hollow eyes. A peculiar maze made from tall bushes was at the back, one you were curious to wander into the first time you set eyes upon it.

You were treated well, lacked nothing, the only thing your new mother ever asked was for you not to wander into the maze. But, as a curious teen you disobeyed.

On the night of your 19th birthday, tipsy on half of the bottle of wine, you decided to break the rule and entered the maze.

What you find at the end is a lovely old cottage. You step inside believing you are alone. Who you meet is the son of the old lady, or rather his ghost, who died at the age of 25.

Your task is to write about your adventure from walking through the maze, to getting to the cottage to meeting him. If you'd like you can either end your tale in the cottage OR you can bring your MC all the way back to the villa where she/he's confronted by the old lady.

Your character can find out the young man is a ghost whenever you want, or not at all.

You can drop this prompt in the beginning of your story as is.
