For the next challenge, you may pick one of two choices but no more poems are allowed. Your topics for your short stories are:

Prompt 1-your character has recently been turned into a vampire. You must write in the first person and your story must start with this. You cannot break the prompt. Did I mention that you cannot have any dialogue?: 

(EDIT: 12/1/16- Sorry if I wasn't 100% clear with the dialogue bit. You cannot have dialoge after this prompt. :D )

Her eyes were green, insane. She grabbed me so tightly I thought I would shatter. 'We are not beautiful, tender things.'

I wanted to break free, run away. I did not belong in her world, I did not! I wanted to go home, go to sleep, dream. But in the depths of her eyes every single nightmare I ever had crawled over me, bit down and bled me dry.

'We are monsters and guess what, Max. So are you.' 

Prompt 2- for those who want to add a bit of sci-fi perhaps to their horror tale. Your story starts with this, do not break the prompt. 

(EDIT: 12/1/16- It's fine if you do not add a sci-fi twist here. You don't have to have a sci-fi twist, but you can if you'd like.)

'Attention!This is an important government warning.' The newscaster's face was ashen, his always perfect hair looked like he'd run his fingers through it one too many times.

'An event of unknown origin has begun, we are unsure if this threat has spread out to other parts of the world yet. In order to guarantee your safety you MUST perform the following actions. Failing to follow these actions WILL result in loss of life.'

A list of DOS and DON'TS flashed onto the screen as he read them out one by one.

-Open all doors (external and internal).

-Open all windows.

-Do not attempt by any means to bar entry.

-When they enter, do not move, look at or acknowledge their presence in anyway.

-Do not react. Do not talk or make any loud sounds.

-Small children, otherwise impaired individuals, and pets you cannot keepfrom reacting should be abandoned or hid away immediately.

-Repeat, do not react. Do NOT react

-Stay calm.

The newscaster's voice seeped though my slowly rising fear.'Help will be on the way. Good luck.'

For four long months, we had been scorching in an unnatural summer. The clock on the wall read 2:15 pm, it was at that moment that something blocked out the sun and sucked out the heat. Summer faded and a horrible chill filled the house. That's when we heard the sound, a dull thumping paired with the sound of wings flapping, like a million bats, getting closer.
