A short story competition, now open.

Here's how it works.

This competition will be for a short story of yours between 1 and 5 pages, no more, no less. No poetry, please.

Ratings are all accepted as are genres. I will not say no to anything except One Direction and Harry Potter fics.

Your story must fit under one of these categories and once you stake your claim on it no one else can use it (you must leave a comment staking your claim):

(state which one you have picked next to your title when you post your story along with Nyhterides' Writing Competition. ex. Let the Right One In/Crush/ Nyhterides' Writing Competition.)

You must also pick a song to go along with your story, it will also play a vital role in the judging (link your video like this-->right hand side of your page-writer tools-video).

Judging will be done on the over-all flow of the story, how gripping and captivating it is and song pick. I will also judge on use of vocabulary and on grammar (without being too tough on grammar, tough).

Every single story will be given a grade out of 20 and will get a short comment from me. I will be harsh in judging, so if you cannot handle anything not sugar-coated please be warned. I'm nice but need to be fair.

Post your stories on your page then post the link to that story on a comment for me to see here *points to comment section below*. Dedication optional.

Contest is open to a limit of 10 participants and you will have till September the 15th 2013 to finish this. You may use old stories.

Prizes: You pick! It can be a shout-out on my page, votes, a critique on one chapter/one poem of your choice, sharing the link of your story on my profile for a month or follow/fan.
