"I revolt you, don't I?"

Thunder roared in the sky, and harsh winds kept people from leaving their houses. It was one of those days

Days when Pepa wasn't feeling the best, days when everyone had to suffer with her. It had been happening a lot more lately and you needed to get to the bottom of it, if only she let you in. . .

"Pepa please!" You pleaded over and over for her to open the door, for her to let you inside. But she never did and it seemed like the weather would get harsher every time you tried

"I just want to talk to you, you don't need to tell me what's wrong. I just need to know if you're okay" You whispered, though you were certain that she'd never hear you due to the loud sounds

Suddenly the door opened and there stood a disheveled Pepa, her hair wasn't in its usual braid, but instead in a messy heap of hair that would be impossible to brush later. Her mascara ran down her face, staining it along the way

And her body, oh. . .her body. There were marks, marks that you get when you get struck by lightning. Sure it wasn't uncommon for people to get struck when she's like this but it's rarely her. . .it had almost seemed as if she'd deliberately coaxed the thunder into hitting her specifically

She nervously shifted while you were analyzing her, taking note of the tiniest things. It made her feel small, embarrassed even. Embarrassed that you had to see her like this

"Can. . .can you not look at me like that?" She hesitantly asked

You stopped when you heard her and silently nodded, you both stood there for a moment. Both looking off to the side

"Do you. . ." Pepa started, trying to find words to voice her problem

You stayed quiet, wanting to let her speak. But still wanting her to feel at least a bit comfortable you led her to her bed and sat down, offering your comfort by stretching out your arms. She ultimately chose to sit next to you instead

"I revolt you, don't I?"The frizzy-haired woman finally spoke after contemplating ways to say it, her hands playing with the fabric of her dress as she waited for your response

"What!? Amor, revolt is the furthest thing from what I would describe how I feel about you" You gently grabbed her hands and looked into her eyes. Making sure she knew you were sincere

"You're the most beautiful, charming, funny, and wonderful woman I've ever met. And no one will ever change that" You whispered as if you were even a decibel higher everyone in town would hear, this was reserved for her ears only

The slight hopeful look she had gave you hope, hope in deterring anymore of these awful thoughts that were planted inside her head

You were going to help her through this no matter what
