If a skeleton has experienced mental trauma, it's easy to tell. Their eyes often spark a bit like electricity when hearing something related to their scarring, and their pupils may turn dark grey, blending in with their black sclera.

Their magic may also become not as brightly-coloured, fading down to darker, more greyscaled colours. You can tell when they're getting better as these effects begin to reverse. Antidepressants also help, but too take many and it starts to do the opposite, showing blantantly when they're trying to mask their unhealing scars.
