Sans is pissed at rabid Soriel shippers for treating him like a god and Asgore like dirt, and often defends the king, knowing how much he has gone through in the past. Asgore appreciates it deeply, and the two have formed a strong friendship.

Sans also constantly tries to remind Soriel shippers that he has no romantic feelings for Toriel, but of course they don't listen. He sees her as a motherly figure.
