Inspiration Struck!
Bree was awoken by the sound of constant tapping coming from the living room. She groggily sat up and looked in the direction of where Conner was supposed to be laying. He was not there. This didn't scare Bree, on the contrary, it annoyed her. Slightly.
She rose out of bed and trudged into the living room. Just as she thought, she spotted Conner on the couch, typing away on his laptop. She sighed. Conner had been known to stay up late writing, but this was a new low. Or high, Bree thought as she checked her watch. 2:00 A. M.
Bree leaned against the wall and looked at Conner. His eyes were glued to the screen while his fingers flew across the keyboard. His face was made up in consternation, he was thinking very hard.
Conner didn't even look up when Bree made her way to the couch beside him. She sat down next to him and snuggled into his side, even then he didn't stop typing.
"What are you doing up?" Bree asked, her voice more groggy than her thoughts.
Conner stopped typing and looked at Bree as if he had just noticed her. "Inspiration struck." he whispered and kissed the crown of her head.
"Couldn't you tell it to wait until morning? Or a more suitable time?"
"Nope,"
Bree sighed as Conner went back to typing. She snuggled closer into his side, causing a few typos. She didn't care, and he didn't make any sign that he did, either. After a few moments, Bree closed her eyes. She was tired.
Conner looked down and saw Bree's eyes shut. He turned the brightness on his computer down and continued writing.

Bree woke to sound of clacking. Tapping. Typing. Still.
She opened her eyes and was met by the blinding light of an electronic. As her eyes adjusted, she saw Conner's fingers flying across the keyboard, never missing a beat. Bree shifted, causing Conner to look down at her.
"Good morning!" Conner said cheerfully.
"How can you by so cheerful when you stayed up all night? Wait- ddI you stay up all night writing? Please tell me you didn't."
Conner but his lip and stared at his screen. "I might have stayed up,"
"Conner!"
"Sorry, but, inspiration struck. And you can't argue with inspiration."
"And you can argue with sleep?"
"I can,"
"Ugh," Bree said. She sat up on the couch and rested her head against the back of it. Her neck cracked a few times in the process.
"What time is it?" She asked as she looked out the windows to see sun. It wasn't too much sun, so it couldn't have been that early, but the curtains could've been playing tricks.
Conner checked his screen. "Eight o'clock." He said and whistled softly. "I've been writing for six hours?"
"Apparently,"
"Wow," Conner said in awe. "I never have written for that long."
"And I hope you won't again."
"Aw, come one. You fell asleep two minutes after you came to the couch. You can't complain."
"I can and I will."
Conner pressed save on his work and shut his laptop, setting it table. "Come here," he said and held his arms out for a hug.
Bree caved and gave him a hug, still very tired from last night. Conner kissed the crown of her head and released her.
"Don't think that makes up for staying up all night," she said as she headed towards the kitchen. She heard Conner sigh and plop on the couch and she laughed, earning a smirk from Conner behind her back.
