"The Winners Write The History"

This saying really makes me question stuff. We all grew up reading and listening to these great war stories about great leaders and how they were so courageous and stuff but "The Winners Writes The Story". What is to say that the bad guys were actually the bad guys? They could be just as good as the "good" guy but happens to be a bad guy cause "The Winners Write The History".

Maybe those great leaders werent as great as we thought, maybe they had problems too, they are human afterall. Maybe one of those great leaders was a cruel man but we still respect him cause he won and got to write the history and painted himself in a good light. And its the same the other way around, maybe one of those bad guys was actually fighting for a good cause but is the bad guy cause he lost and "The Winners Write The History".

And the same with inventions as well, how do we know for sure that THAT guy was the one who invented it? It just as well couldve been stolen from the original inventor. Everyone needs a second opinion right? So lets think that he took his invention and showed it to his friend for a second opinion, and his friend sees that it works and shows it to the public. The public will believe the friend as he was the first one to show it to them, nobody would believe the original inventor who actually invented it once he protests his friends stealing.

Just makes me question some stuff about history as we know it. I mean no disrespect but its good to take everything with a grain of salt right?
