You stare up at the winter sky
The moon meets your gaze
My eyes are fixed upon you
As you get lost in your mind

Your eyes appear two half moons
As the light reflects your thoughts
I wonder what words you exchange
I hope to hear them some day

The way you see the world and
All the pretty words you bring to life
Things that only you could do

Your moonlit poems and your secret tears
You're afraid that none will understand
