How can something so delicate have the power to make or break you?

Is it a choice between being hurt or hurting first?

Is it about taking risks or reserving oneself?

Do you ever think about it, about love?

A day dedicated to it might make one bitter.

Maybe old wounds will resurface,

Or a longing will creep into your mind.

Why can't love be seen as something pure?

Why can't we see it drives us, it keeps us alive?

Wether it be a lover or a best friend,

Love is the base of every close relationship.

So, please, cherish the love you have,

and not long for the romance you lack.

Celebrate Valentine's Day not as something of lust,

But of something of appreciation.
