Today, we shall talk about toxic fandoms. Someone asked me to do a chapter of them, and I was willing. I haven't answered them, so sorry Plumcicle. I tried to, I thought I did, but apparently I didn't. Feel like an ass now. Moving on.

First I was like, "What the hell is a toxic fandom?" I looked it up, and it is complete bullshit to me. All of this information is from someone else, I didn't make the article.

The three main ingredients: possessiveness, entitlement, and feeling of superiority.

Possessiveness: very obsessed and want to keep it for themselves, not wanting to share.

Okay. Apparently people start to think the show or fandom is their own little thing. NO. Stop. It is not. The people who made the show made it for everyone, not for you. An example from the person who made the article is pop idol girls in Japan. Fans would stalk them. Don't stalk. If you want to get to know your star, don't mysteriously follow them wherever they go. Go to places you are allowed to visit and see them, don't be a creep for crying out loud. The girls have these stalking fans, and when they did something that the fans didn't like, the fans would harm them. Bitches, that is not right. That star is her own person, she can make her own decisions. If you don't like it, deal with it. Nobody's going to be exactly perfect. Harming them because they have a free will, what the fuck you frickin assholes? You are mental.

Entitlement: right along possessiveness. Thinks that if they think it should happen on the show, it should happen.

Producers have gotten threats because of the assholes who want things to go their way. A big WHAT THE HELL? You don't own the damn show. I'll use myself as an example. If the makers of Ninjago made Nya go with Cole instead of Jay, I won't write a frickin death threat to them. So what? Write a damn fan-fiction if you are displeased, that's what everyone else does. Sheesh. If you do this, I question your sanity.

Superiority: thinking they are better than everyone or some people else in some way.

I can get if you are a fan of magic or magical worlds like Harry Potter that you would call people Muggles or normies. It's normal, it's a small little joke among the fans. But don't go too far. Just because you are an ultimate fan of the show doesn't make you better than other fans. I'm a huge fan TMNT, and if you talk to me about it, I won't be like, "Fuck off normie. You don't know what a fan is." I'll be frickin like, "HELLO FELLOW TMNT NERD!!!" Don't be like that. It's nice to obsess with another fan, okay? It's nice to talk to them and fangirl scream about so many things. Honestly, I follow people mostly if they like the same things I do, just because it's easier to talk to them, or if you follow me, I'll follow back. Anyway, don't be a douche. Invite another fan. Be a friend. We need friends, and you're not going to get any friends if you are a obsessive asshole or bitch.
