So this is a short story about how I missed the premier of a new episode of my favorite show as a kid.

So, I had a bunch of favorite shows growing up. One of them being, The Backyardigans. Now, if you forgot about that show or you never heard of it, let me tell you about it.

It's a show about five animal friends: Tyrone the orange moose, Uniqua the pink ladybug, Tasha the yellow hippo, Austin the purple kangaroo, and last, but certainly not least, my favorite character out of them all (Still remains as of this day), Pablo the blue penguin.

These five have crazy adventures by imagining their backyard as anything. They took a trip to mars, they had a snow fort with traps, they helped a catapillar find it's home in the jungle, they just about imagine everything possible!

Now, they was an announcement about a very special episode about robots. Basically, Austin is a mechanic for robots in this futuristic world and he can fix them. However, all of the robots are just fine. Until some start to act weird. There's these loose "bolts" that fall out of the robots. It turns out that Pablo sent these bugs to turn all of the robots in the city evil! So, Austin, his robot friend, and his other friends, seek into Pablo's base and got him to make all of the robots good again!

Yay! Happy ending! Fireworks, sparkles! Pew pew!

At the time, I was every excited and was counting the days before the big premier. The day comes and I was patiently watching the channel for the new episode.

Well...

It turned out that my parents called the TV worker to fix the cables or whatever. And he came... JUST AS THE EPISODE WAS STARTING! He soon turned off the TV and when to work.

Now you may think I threw a fit. And I did. I was really excited for the episode and I didn't get to see the ending!

HECK! I STILL DON'T KNOW THE ENDING! I stopped at the part where the good robot was fighting the big bad robot!

So yeah... That a childhood I remember...

Heh.. I need to rewatch that episode.
