Asako died at a young age due her getting sick after a few years of the birth of her youngest daughter Mika. Before that Asako and Hakaru got into many arguments over money and such. This soon lead to Hakaru getting angry and he had laid a few hits onto his wife out of anger and stress. Hotaru witness it all from behind and closed door. She dislikes her father ever since then.
