Rosie's friends (the Mario crew) get possessed by demons

Particularly strong ones

Rosie had to spend FIVE YEARS with Rosalina's help to free them.

She spent those five years were spent in a time loop made by Rosalina so that Rosie would only be free if she set her friends free

So Rosie goes pretty insane by the end of it

She decides to kill all demons and ghosts

And now her friends have to save her from insanity to prevent her from killing her own family and herself.
