So...I have a theory.

Malak from Dark Deception is a Fallen Angel. More specifically, a fallen Throne, which is the 3rd highest rank.

There's also the fact his name means Angel in Arabic.

And last but not least, he guards a ring called The Riddle of Heaven, implying it is angelic in nature.
